Barnstable Carnival

Right, so who's going to Barnstable on Saturday?

Dave, julie, Mark, Mick, Me and there is someone else I think. Barnstaple will only allow us to take six cars into the carnival. We do have a much more serious problem we have to drive passed the civic centre home to NDDC. Normally we have the odd coin hit the car but as we drive passed the civic centre we are going to wear crash helmits as we expect the odd brick to come out of the window.

If anyone has any carnivals will can go to let us know. I love carnivals so do a few others.

So what time does it all begin, (hopefully I will be able to come up to watch) if its too early I won't be able to make it cos i'm working in the morning.

Well the carnival was another success. Nessie has a new name when she has Tony Bear onboard. Wait for it

BEAR FORCE ONE.

He got so many waves and smiles we even have a plaque on the front of the mini that says Bear Force One. It was a good night and not one brick was thrown from the civic centre (Home to NDDC)

Terry is a puppet on the end of the arm of Tony Bear.

Glad you had a good time,shame i couldn't make it.

We've just got back and we waved and waved at Terry and guess what?...................................he didn't see us (or perhaps he pretented not to see us)  


Apart from that we had a lovely time, I looked around all the shops and we queued up for ages to get some chips oooh and the carnival was pretty good too.

What side of the road were standing on. I have a big problem when Tony Bear is onboard. I can only wave to people on the left hand side. Bear 1 makes me stop so he can wave at the children and there were a lot of them. Had to stop every 10 yards or so.
Dave our carnival queen is going to try and sort out oakhamptom carnival in a couple of weeks so we will keep you in touch and it is a bit nearer.
By the way I am not that proud really I will wave at anyone.

We were stood right at the front  by the place where the kids go skateboarding apparently, (that's all i know about Barnstable.)

These threads get very confusing I don't know if I am taking about Castle combe or Barnstaple carnival. I have to keep going back to the beginning to check which thread I am on. Then when I get on the right thread I have forgotten what I wanted to say. Not inportant anyway or was it can not remember.

A sure sign of getting old Terry!  LOL
