ok, we live in Ramsgate, which is near Margate and Broadstairs, about 1/2 hour from Dover on the very edge of the world!
apparently in the old days that very far corner was an island, the Isle of Thanet, in fact it might technically still be an island due to drainage ditches and such like.
it is dubbed locally as Planet Thanet - bloomin' radio jingles.
