Bob the builder

Well it's not othen I am so quiet but for the last 3 days stupid here has been trying to build an extension to garage at the back of the house. Well all is going well one bit is 3 blocks high, well one corner the rest has just got of the ground. But it has been started and I hope to have all the block work done by the end of the month. So if I do not say much that is because I am knackered and me back is killing me.

Hi Terry was this block laying at your home or at your place of work....? ....
Maybe....you should have made it a NDMR thing - Sponsorship- Come & lay a block of 5/10/15/25/50? (50p/£1 a brick/block).

I have been away in the care of ( A Hospital) having my Gall.. bladder thing removed..........After paying lots of £sssss to have it removed 2 years ago.......I Must Say That I Was.....A Bit Shocked..........when same said HOSPITAL ...Said ..........You have a GALL BLADER...........SORRY...........We need to take it out?!?!?!?!

When I was In (The Very NICE SIDE ROOM) it had a INTERNET CONECTION its this new toy in the NHS  ...so I was able to watch but not interact!!!

hospitals are sooo rubbish! it's like one of the times old bird broke some bones - can't remember which fall now - they x-rayed her, sent her home - a week later phoned up to tell her she had fractured a vertebrae in her spine and not to bend her head down! which she had been doing!

you'd think they'd notice important things - like a gall bladder for example - what are they on!!

Really cracking on now, all the sorting done just a matter of laying the blocks House maid knee at the moment but I am getting there very slowly.

how is the building work going

Well I am now over half way YES YES YES 6 rows high, 4 or maybe 5 to go. Me hands feel like sand paper and I ache all over to be honest I am knackered but at least I can see the end now. Me nails are broken, I have concrete in me hair and I am finding it hard to lift the block higher that me nipples sorry breasts sorry chest me arms have given up. I quite agree this is womans work so where are they, in doors sipping on the sherry. NOT LINDA

 P.S.  What does the wall building look like, remember look through party rings?

Had to get the scaffold boards out today as the walls are getting higher. Not quite ready for the roof yet as the is nuf think to hold it up just yet. Will try looking at the walls throught a party ring. I think I should of buried a time capsule under the floor and I could of put a party ring and gingernut inside on the other hand I could of eaten both and put the empty packet in with a few less important things.

I am very pleased that that you did not imprison the Ginger Nut or the Party Ring....
But The RSPB also known as the Royal Society for the Protection of Biscuits are taking an interest.

I would like to know how the bob the builder thread turned into a debate about party rings and ginger nuts again. Well the latest on bob is he has just finished the blockwork well nearly Thank Hevens. Found a few muscle I have forgotten I had the only problem most of them ache.

The roof is on just trying to sort out the leaks. Not to long now before I am out on the streets.

We have a tin but are keeping it in reserve as the last resort.

if you have annoying neighbours who think revving their cars at midnight is a good idea then expanding foam is brilliant at keeping them quiet lol

Garage extension almost finished just a few odds & sods left thank goodness.  If the weather had been kinder it would have been finished a couple of weeks ago.  I am going to take a few photo's of all my own work and send them to Michelle so you can all see it.  I have today started work on the new conservatory.  Am I a glutton for punishment or what.  Just thinking about changing my job. Expect I could earn a bit more money on building work than on the Minis.

Garage not quite finished but the conservatory is. Never even had time to switch the mixer off when Linda said what about the conservatory. Trying to get the roof on before next week.
