We have just had the Stainless Steel GB, Stolen off of the boot of our Mini. To Replace it will cost £22+ VAT. This is before the price of respraying the bootlid. The Bootlid is less than a year old, as we were rearended, less than a year ago!.

The POLICE just gave us a crime number (JG052613)....wat worrys me is this fact
in the Press of recent.....we have seen an increase in
Car Badge & Number Plate theft.........
But The POLICE............
were uninterested in OUR REPORT!!!!!

Party Ring Heaven!
It makes me so mad when I hear that some moron has nothing better to do than nick other peoples property.

Unfortunatly the police won't do anything, we've had stuff nicked off of our cars in the past.

As it is half term for the schools, I can only (maybe wrongly) assume that it was some bored school kid with nothing better to do.

We have had dozens of dust caps taken off our minis, wing mirrors damaged, aerials bent or broken off and number plates taken off - by kids - but you never catch the ****** actually doing it.

Sylv.

Sorry to hear about your Mini. We've had stuff stolen of our cars in the past. Don't now whats more annoying, the Police not interested in the theft or the fact that the parts will only fit a Mini & is it a fellow Mini owner who nicked them!! Do people have to go out stealing for the sake of £25

Bummer!! I felt the same anger. One of my previous mins had been done over 4 separate occasions, first was the stereo, then a full tank of petrol, then the wing morrors ripped off and then the finale, with in half an hour they forced the boot and took everything!! The battery, jump leads, spare wheel, camping ground sheet, jack and spider!!!!! At that point I had 3 crime numbers, the cops never came to see me and i just stood in the street and screamed!!!!! >

Justice? Whats that then? Is that what the theiving bar stewards get????

Gave up with leaving nice dust caps on, lost 3 sets including a locking set!!!! The BMXs look good round our way though.......

My other vehicle is an 18T DAF MAN curtainsider!!
