Hi all

Just to give you a small preview on an event to take place in 2006, it may be too far for some of you to travel too, but you never know...

The date is still to be decided but will be around April/May time I would think.

We have managed to set up a rolling road day to help us (Team Tatty) fundraise for our Lands End to John O'Groats Charity Run sponsorship. All proceeds from the day go into our fund.

All we ask is that people pay at least £15 to get on the rollers, which is cheaper than the normal going rate.  Refreshments are being organised for the day too.

If you are provisionally interested in attending this day, please post here or email us at:  teamtatty@gmail.com

The details are being finalised and will be posted on the forums and in the mini magazines soon, so get in quick now!

Team Tatty are proud to present a rolling road day kindly donated by sponsors MiniSpeed in aid of fundraising for LEJOG 2006

Date: 25th March 2006

Have you ever wondered what’s hidden under your bonnet? Well find out and give charity a helping hand at the same time.

We are offering you the chance to put your mini on the rollers at Minispeed of Byfleet, Surrey which will discover the power and potential of your mini for a great price of £20 all of which goes straight to charity.

Not only will you able to take part in the excitement of the minis on the rolling road, you could also venture around the corner into the MiniSpeed shop to pick up any parts your mini may need.

There will be refreshments available throughout the day including doughnuts from Krispy Kreme.

If you are interested in putting your mini on the rollers, please email Nikki & Paul at: teamtatty@gmail.com

For more information on Team Tatty, LEJOG and how we are raising money for charity, please visit our website:  http://www.teamtatty.co.uk

Im not too sure if anyone who reads here turned up yesterday - but if you do read here and you did turn up yesterday here is a message from me and Paul (Team Tatty)

We would like to say a BIG BIG thank you

In all this weekend Team Tatty has managed to raise a whopping £532 (we might owe my bro £5 still), but even so this is a huge amount, more than we hoped for and we are really grateful.....

My pics should be up on Team Tatty at PhotoBox this evening and as soon as I get to speak to Mark, I should hopefully get some of his too....As soon as I know a date for when the feature is to appear in Mini Magazine I will let everyone know....

What more can I say but fantastic, well done. We are going to try and be at Bristol.
PS How did the doughnuts go.

Hmmmmmmmmm doughnuts

They went down an absolute storm!

I have never seen a face like the lady in Krispy Kreme's when she asked us what we wanted!  We turned round and said 9 dozen fundraising doughnuts please, her face nearly hit the floor!!!!!

Im still shocked at how much we raised to be honest, I cant believe it, there was a fabulous turn out, I just hope we can pull it off again in June, I have attended loads of rolling road days, but none like this, it was amazing....

I bet your totally knacked the pair of you but I bet you feel good. I did send off the Lejog dates to both the mags sometime ago. But they still have not published them. Still with people like you 2 I do not have to worry about that much more. It would seem your getting Lejog as much publicity as it needs. Mark Stratton has also mention this years lejog as well in mini mag.

If the bits are printed - there should be two bits in Mini Mag at least - one for when Minx went to Classic Cars & Bike last weekend and we did some fundraising and had some info etc out and this entire weekend too (rolling road day and Brooklands)...

Yes i have to admit i am absolutely shattered beyond belief, i cant wait for a weekend to myself next week but yes i have to admit im stunned, shocked and have a huge grin on my face for what we managed to achieve, im a firm believer in my new phrase and it seems to be working for the fundraising.....
