STOLEN!!!!

One of our members has had his mini stolen, while it maybe a sick prank, they were clever whatever! Removed rear screen and climbed in.

Please everyone, take anything of value out of the mini and try to use some form of visual detterant, know its common sense but we all forget and dont want to be loosing our precious minis.

Here endeth lesson.

Maybe you should post full description of the Mini, so that people can keep an eye out for it. You never know someone might spot it somewhere and can let you or the owner know.

I have removed all valuables from mine anyway (Grand Tour Teddies are very popular)

I feel for owner, my last mini, (minx was the replacement) was stolen.....

Thank you for your kind words, the lad is only just 21 and he was so looking forward to the summer shows to go in his own mini rather than with us.

It is a white mini with Rover Cooper style wheels, thick red pinstripe and bucket seats recently fitted, the reg is F445PYH stolen in the Herts area. I dont have other details to hand as the V5 doc is at home, but I dont want to post all details incase of dodgy browsers, you just dont know where they look for their prey!!!

I am so sorry to hear about the mini. I know what it's like.  My first special mini which Terry built for me was stolen.  The one night that we parked her on the road instead of the drive way.  We had another mini sitting on the drive way open and with the keys in the ignition but they left it alone.  They knew which one they wanted.  They caught the thieves about 8 months later and all five of them had to pay us back £1 per week via the Court.  However it cost us 45p for each cheque we paid into the Bank.  They call that Justice!

Here are the pictures of said mini, the police came and finger printed the rear screen as it was found chucked in the hedge. Got a good set and said that there was a high chance of recovering it. They said they thought that someone had just used it to get home, wouldnt have got far as the petrol was down to the red apparently.

The cops just dont seem to be bothered by car theft these days esp' minis so its down to us to do the hunting for them. Thank you everyone for all the support and help.
