How's this for a dream. A 1968 mk1 Tartan red and has never been welded and as far as I can see does not need any, the sills are perfect and the boot is unbelievable no rust any where. I have to admit that it is an automatic but when it has only 15,000 on the clock who cares. The interior is perrfect and only needs a good clean. As for the doors, well no rust bubbles and you can run your hand along the bottom and it does not get shredded, they even close with a reasurring click. All good things come to those who wait. We are going to call her Rosie and I cannot wait to get her into the new heated garage. We will never use her like Nessie but we are sure we can use her to help us raise money for the CHSW.

John managed to pick up our new addition today. Vermillion 1981 Clubby Estate, 54k fairly original just a few little chrome additions. Not as clean as hoped but good enough, needs a little bit of TLC. John managed to get her back ok and said she drove like a dream, no engine problems at all. Not bad as she has only done 20 or so miles since aug'03. Just need to sort out rear seat belts for Grace.
I am sure Matthew will be around to look at her shortly and laugh.
We love minis Auto's 850's 998's they are all the same to us. We are not a very proud couple and we do not care what type of mini we drive. We have driven then all and loved them all. Nessie will never feel jealous as her heart is as big as ours and she has already made Rosie feel at home. We have found it hard to sleep at night over the past few weeks as we have Party Ring's car sitting on the drive as well and the noise the lot of them make after the lights go out is keeping us awake, so much giggling.
Well done Terry and Linda - sounds like you got a real nice little mini to add to your fleet.... when you get a few pics post them on here if you can so we can see!!!!

i'm so pleased Mini is enjoying itself. It works so hard for us and I know it likes to spend time with its tyres up having a little R & R! Lisa's Mini (Mack) is thoroughly enjoying being driven on a regular basis. I have a hard time making it behave - it keeps whooshing off like a loon! Lisa's more upset that Luke keeps calling it Aunties Mini...

well she does keep correcting him - "it's mummy's mini - auntie is only borrowing it", but he is a typical bloke (already) and has a selective memory. bless him. i have trained him well.
we have to keep him stocked up with mini magazines though - he doesn't seem to like the usual kiddie comics, and likes looking at all the different minis, and finding 'Bazzer mini'. i think we have set him well and truely on the path to all things mini and he doesn't stand a chance of growing up normal now.

I will have to see what Tesco has to offer, they do have some really nice party cakes. We even bought one for the girls a couple of years ago, it was Dougal from the Magic Roundabout. It seemed a shame to cut it up and eat it.

I mean how very rude! Like her time's not coming! and i still say she's older than me. being a parent is very aging i feel. Aunties ROCK! ( and teach very clever little nephews all sorts of things to annoy said parents )

Tuesday is the big day but still have so much to do including my tax returns it is not only the register that has got behind because of the move. I hope in the next few days I will get some photos of just what I have been doing for the past six months and why so many people have been waiting for so many things but all will be sorted this week I hope.
