I have added a Photo Album facility to the forum.

Feel free to make use of it ... or not! Hopefully it will work problem free, but i'm sure this is highly unlikely!!
You may have problems logging in to the Album. This is a cookie problem.
Go to Tools > Internet options...
In the box that pops up In the Temporary Internet files section Click Delete Files...

You each have your own personal folder, so whatever you upload will be added to your own folder. You can set it to be viewable by everyone or yourself only.

In order to not gobble up the server space your images should not be larger than 150 kb.

As a quick guide - size your images to a maximum of about 1000px (pixels) wide, and save as a jpeg of about 70%, 7 whatever your scale might be in your image editing program. Websites can only handle images of 72 dpi, so there is absolutley no point having a high resolution photo.

Good luck and enjoy!!

(Now maybe we can see some of Terry's pictures of all the work he has beendoing, AND his new car!!)

The album opens in a new browser window, so the forum is still kept open in a separate window.

To logout, close the album browser window and then logout of the forum as usual. It doesn't have its own logout facility, it uses that of the forum.

I think I've managed to post a couple of photos - which is a miracle as I'm not normally any good at this sort of stuff.

No!! It is linked the same way as all the other menu bar images. The last 2 buttons are Site and Photo Album. Does it put a text link in instead?

I did used to have problems with my firewall software blocking images on websites. I use Zone Alarm - and i had to tell it to allow certain websites, or lower the restrictions.

Is it IE?

I've tested in IE, Firefox, Opera and Mozilla on the PC and Camino on the Mac, and it was OK on all of them..... trying to think what might be causing it. Could be anything with the web or maybe your computer just doesn't like you

Thanks for being so patient with me............

Right, when I first come onto the forum the last two buttons on the menu bar are 'Site' and 'photo album'

As soon as I log in the 'photo album' button disappears.

I am on IE.

My pooter likes me most of the time.

well....i have to say... at this point... i'm stumped.  It doesn't make any sense to me at all.

It's not logical for it to be there, and then disappear, which is quite frankly just rude.

The fact that it is there at all means that the code is correct - so what is scaring it away?

If you go directly to:
http://www.smallcarsbighearts.co.uk/photoalbum/code/album.pl

what happens?
