sounds like you've got a problem with your cookies. when it pops up with an error message saying you can't be authenticated (something like that anyway) it is to do with the cookies.
If you clear all your cookies for the smallcarsbighearts domain, and log back into the forum - you should be ok.
To delete just your smallcars.. cookies - go to Tools > Internet options. on the popup box, in the section that says Temporary Internet files on the first tab, click on the settings button. On that panel click the view files button. This will open an explorer window with all the files and cookies of all the websites you visit.
look for a file called something like Cookie:dizzy@smallcarsbighearts.co.uk and delete it. (make sure you can remember your username and password first - open the file first if you can't to remind yourself)
Refresh the browser window, and login to the forum again.
Hopefully it should work then! I'm sorry it's giving you such grief!!

well when you delete the cookies you show up on the forum as a guest - as it effectively logs you out anyway. I would log out first, then delete the cookies.
