There's a double decker bus going around at the moment all liveried up with Demelza House Children's Hospice doings - and Lisa's got it today!!

She did mention trying to borrow it for the LGT - i think she was joking.....

BEWARE Thanet! Mini driver in a double decker bus ALERT!

it might cause her to be off her timetable a little..... and you know how people moan about late buses

it's actually a bit of a nightmare having a sister who's a bus driver. you find yourself studying every bus to see if she's in it. and she doesn't even recognise me on the bike anyway!! and if you're in the car she recognises you first and then you have a bus madly flashing its lights or beeping at you. most disconcerting....

what did you play? i used to play the piano when i was a kid-up to the age of about 15,got to grade 6.

ignore us taking the mick out of your musical tastes-it would be boring if everyone liked the same things -everyone has different ideas of what is good...

.....except daniel o donnel-he should be shot on sight. he gives me the creeps and he preys on vulnerable old ladies

My first ever concert was Pink Floyd at Earls Court in 1981. I was also at Live Aid and have also seen Queen, Everly Brothers, Roger Waters (4 Times), Simon & Garfunkel, Blondie, INXS, Status Quo, The Alarm, Rolling Stones and many more.

Oh dear, that makes me old!

Not been to many concerts but saw the carpenters when Karen Carpenter was still alive in Sydney on one my many stops in Australia. Even further back sort of meet Millie (My boy lollypop) one hit wonder and was one of the extras in "A hard days night" had to chase the Beatles out of a railway station. The station was just down the road from where I lived in London. Trying to remember who the Beatles were just remember one of them falling over nearly got to them.

Now I'm really jealous Pink Floyd, THe Rolling Stones I'd have loved to have seen live but I'm even more jealous that not only were you at Live Aid bu you've seen the greast band with the grratest lead singer/showman live too who am I talking about as if you didn't know QUEEN.

IMO the older bands are the best they know how to play instruments. I like some of the new stuff like Razorlight and The Artic Monkeys etc but most of the new stuff is rubbish!

I bet if Freddie had of been alive today he would have still been touring (~I know he said he wouldn't but it was in his genes) and he'd have been packing every venue out too. (p3_79)

I've seen Chris De Burgh before

That's not surprising as he's averaged 2 concerts a week since 1975!

(Useless info from when he was on TV with Gloria Hunniford last weekend.)

i'll keep everything crossed for you - i'm sure you'll do brilliantly. the advantage of being a mini driver is that you can at least drive properly - no new fangled gadgets for us to try and do half the job for us!! ABS? pah! power steering? wimps!

Sorry guys, I flunked it!!!

Not badly though, something REALLY stoopid and I havent stopped kicking myself or head butting the wall or pulling my hair out yadda yadda yadda. I had the nicest examiner, really kind and patient. I thought I had already failed so was just carrying on for the sake of the practise although he hadnt written anything down until 2 minutes before the end of the test when I tried to slip down a gap past another lorry, too fast only to clip his wing mirror.   This will sound harsh, you are allowed so many minor marks, but one serious or dangerous and you are out. Clipping the mirror counts as serious, so that was me out. I only got 4 minor marks and the instructors are allowed up to 6!! So its not that I am bad at driving, he said that he had been driven by three guys that morning that were so much worse than me and he had passed them!!! For the sake of slowing down and giving myself time and space......I cant even get upset because I am a great driver, I just let myself down this time.

Still I have two extra tests and tuition days already paid for as I took pass insurance out so at least I dont have to fork out another £360 or what ever it was!!

Dont worry, I am not upset, just annoyed, I KNOW that I can do this, I just have to think a bit faster next time.

it's really annoying when you do something daft and you have no-one to blame but yourself.(at least you can blame the voices - they obviously incited you to riot!)

It's what comes of driving a mini you see - you think you can fit through ANYWHERE, and most of the time it's true

you'll be a pro next time!!

That's a shame. As you say it proves that you can do it, just that they couldn't pass you this time. Like party-ring says Minis fit through almost any gap, but trucks are a little bit bigger.

Rita says that her last words to her pupils before their tests are always "if in doubt wait, but don't wait and wait and wait."

Quoted from Terry
Not been to many concerts but saw the carpenters when Karen Carpenter was still alive in Sydney on one my many stops in Australia. Even further back sort of meet Millie (My boy lollypop) one hit wonder and was one of the extras in "A hard days night" had to chase the Beatles out of a railway station. The station was just down the road from where I lived in London. Trying to remember who the Beatles were just remember one of them falling over nearly got to them.

The film is on Easter monday, 11.15 pm on BBC 2. Will we spot him?
