When braking sharpish, Henri my '92 SPi, pulls to the left before straightening up. So far I've checked the pistons they're free & move easily, bled the brakes & checked the tie rods. The Tarox Sport Japan discs were only fitted 6 months ago & don't appeared to be warped, & the wheel bearings are fine.

Any one got any ideas why the nearside brakes are biting before the offside

i'd check out the tyre pressures, tie bar bushes and tie bars to see if theyre bent/perished, bottom arm bushes perish too. check the swivel joints on the hubs for any play, might as well grease them up while youre looking under there, and grease the top arms too.
if that doesnt work, check the caliper pistons are free to move and are straight as well.
also might be worth checking out the subframe bushes too, dont forget to have a peek at the rears, just in case.
if that doesnt cure it, may be worth getting the tracking checked, mine was having similar probelms and it turned out that the tracking was out as well as a bent tiebar, probably because of potholes and rough roads.

select concorde 2 brighton then like 'heartbreaker' thats your only task for the day....do that then do whatever you want, easy!

Cheers for that, I'll get the tracking double checked, & have a look tie bar & bushes over the weekend.
