No - well I hope not anyway, I was at work and I was in the staff room and you could just see the sea between buildings, at first I couldn't make out what was different - then it dawned on me that the sea wasn't actually moving. If anyone was paddling at the time they'd have been stuck there until it thawed. I think I've still got some local papers up in the attic they hd a special supplement about it as obviously it doesn't happen very often
Web Whatever I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute

No it was pretty bad in 78/79 we got in the car to go to the inlaws for New Year's day lunch - car wouldn't start - we pushed it (which was difficult) as there was a lot of snow on the ground, car wouldn't start because the petrol had frozen. It had to stay down the road where we pushed it until it thawed out a couple of weeks later. Needless to say we didn't get our dinner cooked for us, we had to plod our way home pulling the carrycot with baby Lisa in it as the snow was too deep to push it, but then again you would have only been three years old so you probably don't remember
