On the other hand did she bring any cake NO

She did have donuts and strawberries, though.  Yum!

I had a top day too - great to see everyone again.

Thanks for another lovely day, kids are back at school with a bit of sunburn, Ian's refusing to remove his wrist band , bit of a nightmare on the M5 again, so ending going up the A370 back to Bristol which made a change, car went okay after a new themostat and flushing out the cooling system on Saturday , just got to sort the oil leak on the GT now, but got a few bits at the show to make the job slightly easier than last time > >, nice to put some faces to the names on here, overall a good day considering my bad start with my mom passing away, but then she was 92, anyway thanks again, see you all again soon and best wishes for the LeJOG, and we will be doing it next year

Sorry to hear about your mum. Although it's not totally unexpected it's sad when it happens and if you've lost both your parents you can feel a bit of an orphan, I know from experience as many on this board will understand.

I have a big stripe where my wrist band was on all day and my arms are a little red but deservedly so.

We too met the early stages of the M5 but soon got moving on the M4. Andrew will add a comment to that later as I believe I was asleep like Domino!

Thanks for that, we nearly didnt come but as my brother said there wasnt much we could have done about it, hence we were running late, as we had sorted everything out Saturday evening ready to go, but it was better than moping about at home,

Yep, when my mum died 4 years ago it was friday evening before our sunday departure on Lejog. We still went, Lejog went a little bit over my head. Andrew and I had a car each and it was ok to have a bit of space to myself which you may feel you need. So don't be afraid to be a little bit selfish for a while.

There was quite a bit of traffic on the M5, but I don't think it could have cost us more than about 10 minutes as the total journey home was only half an hour longer than the trip to the show and there were some slow bits on the M4 and M25 too.

I thought the journey home was quiet!
