Bristol Mini Days

We have just got confirmation about our Bristol Mini Days Club Stand.
Anyone interested in joining me or it could be a bit lonely but I am sure I will find someone to talk to.

As you know we do not care what type of mini you drive as long as you are a nice person. Just checking a few old threads.

Suppose' you're not nice AND drive a new MINI?

In that case we are not proud, we will take anyone.

Probably a question Rita could answer,

It says you can take dogs into the show but not all around the park, does this hinder you at all, will Neve be annoyed if we took the boys and then she couldn't get to do everything? or are the mini's enough to keep you occupied all day?

The mini show is not the most dynamic of events but friendly. Dogs cannot go into the farm bit and I think kids will want to. You could walk the dogs around the mini show field a couple of times and then we will happily dog sit while you go off and explore the farm.

That way every member of your family gets a day out!

I've just seen a weather forecast for the weekend and it's looking good. I think we should have shorts or crops on as I want to see Terrys' flagpole.

With the pick bra on the end, at 8mtrs I will have to watch out that I do not keep tripping over it.

We're getting up at 4am It takes Andrew ages to get ready and we normally take Domino out for an exercise walk first. We plan one loo stop at Reading services.

well its gonna take about 1 hour 50 mins according to Google Maps, so 7 ish??

This will the third sunday in a row of gettin up early........  I thought it was a day of rest... LOL   Cant miss the pink bra!!!  Cuz we have the pole!!!   

OK 7 am at the co-op or should we all meet at the lay by the other side of Barnstaple might make life easier for everyone as we are going that way.. By the way you will not need passes but you have to pay when you arrive. Just ask where the club stand is.

Is there a limit to how many cars can go on the stand? plus when we get off the M5 do we head toward WSM or the other way?, Ive still got to clean all the bugs off the cars from last week yet, and bring sun tan lotion this time

What decals are you putting on?

"north devon mini register" for the front screen and a "www.smallcarsbighearts.co.uk" for the back, but terry has only got the front one

does anyone going to the Bristol Mini day, have a "smallcarsbighearts" sticker   , perferably in blue   , for Julie's mini we could purchase? as she wants to put one on the back of her car, thanks.

At the moment we have none. I was going to wait until I put my next order in as kevin wants one as well. You might be able to get one at the show.

We would also like a sticker, but will have to wait until the LGT to pick it up    The limited edition LGT mugs that SMOC donate every year have been ordered I will post a picture on here when they are delivered

Plaster  came off on wednesday   yipee   leg feels a bit weird and stiff and I still have to use the crutches and do physio for 2 months   but it's so nice to finally get it off   and surprizingly i've lost some weight

Good you lost some weight, you would expect to put some on with not being able to walk as normal. We saw Gordon at Brighton, he was looking forward to Guernsey, when do you go and for how long?

Yes I was shocked thought I'd put some on, but I couldn't run to the cupboard every 5 minutes   Go to Guernsey next saturday early ferry and back the following sunday late ferry   looking forward to it  

We'd have liked to go to Bristol as well but what with Brighton then MINI United and LEJOG in three weeks we thought we should pass on this one unfortunately

It would also be much easier for me if it were Birstall Mini Days 8-)

(Birstall, unlike Bristol, is about 10 mins away from me...)

So are we. We're just about to take Domino out for his late night exercise and then his next stop is Reading. We plan to leave between 5.30 and 6 or when Andrew is ready!

Hooray we are back safe and sound Bluebottle behaved himself he went like a dream so obviously hbis little hiccup on the way up was either he didnt like me driving or was scared to be on a Motorway for the first time

Thanks to all we had a lovely time --i didnt buy a thing  

it seems to be my turn to look after the pole and the fluffy bra i will sew on the straps and perhaps a little lace !!!

Be kind to it and it was another fantastic day.

Hi you lot from Birmingham
Hope you all got home safe. Linda wants to know how Rachel & Julies shoulders are. Linda's legs are glowing and we no longer need the lights on.  

Took us just over 3 and half hours to get home but we had a stop at Reading to prepare us for the M25 which was not too bad.

We only spent the £12 admission fee for 2 and £1 on a children's hospice charity tombola.

A pleasant day in pleasant company.

So glad you got home safe. It was a really nice day and me and Linda both enjoyed the company. The best part of the register is it's members.

Sounds as tho' you all had a good time, look forward to seeing the pics Kevin glad everyone has arrived home safely - Jock now has his new door plaques on and I will probably do the flowers etc tomorrow  

Glad you all had a good time   we went for a ride around the country-side in DOO then when we got home Neil cleaned it ready for our holiday, it's gleaming now     hope the sunny weather lasts
