We brought our tickets sometime ago. Travelling in convy from one of our local dealerships there were meant to be 3 classics going form our club but now it's just mine hope the other new mini owners are nice to me! Is any one stopping over the weekend? We were meant to be camping but as it costs extra were staying in a travel lodge on saturday night

We are going in a convoy as well from our local dealership, but Jock is not behaving at the moment and Alf is working very hard trying to get him through his MOT so we will only be taking Gem. We have decided not to camp for this and will be coming back on Saturday night. Lisa and Nigel are both working Sunday so someone (Auntie ) has to baby sit, tho' they're not working till late so we could stay over, but probably won't
It was excellent, we had an absolutely brilliant day, we travelled up in a convoy from our local dealership and we didn't leave until gone 9 o'clock in the evening. There was loads to do, loads of food, loads of toilets and apart from a queue for Luke to go on a trampoline there were no queues either. Another time we would certainly go for the whole weekend

On some ot the MINI message boards there was some really positive feedback. Makes a pleasant change. Shame it's no dogs but not a good venue for 4 legs. I recall the last time I sneaked Heidi into Castle Combe and spent the day being pursued by security guards, telling me to keep her shut in the car. I got her in by saying the lady in charge had agreed her entry as she was our club mascot!
Was there a lot of classic mini there or do you think they may of felt a bit out of it.

I can understand the positive feedback, it was excellent Dunno about 4 legs - 6 legs (mine, Michelle's and Luke's) were completely worn out, it's a huge site

There were quite a few classics there, but it was mainly new ones I must admit, but it was a brilliant day Wish we could have taken Jock, but after his shenanigans with his MOT - he has got one now by the way - we thought it was best we went in Gem, though the girl from Broad Oak said it would have been great to have had at least one classic in our convoy

Got back about 5 this afternoon had a fantastic weekend.
We travelled in convoy from the dealership in Wolverhampton had an intersting jounery as the dealersip asked one of my friedns which was the best way to go (a bit worrying really) he said go to Oldbury, M5, M42, M40 and A43 simple right erm no the lead car decided to go on the M6 ok I though we'll get on the M5 from there as we go split up that what I did only to find the lead car had taken all the other cars down the M6 so I had a convoy on my own I rang one of my friends in the convoy who said they'd met me at warwick services they eventually cuaght up with me just beofr we came off the M40 at Charwell Valley I think I upset some of the new Mini owners as I was the only classic in the so called convoy and I got to the junction before them (mind you none of them made an effort to speak to me or the other 3 New Mini's in our club missrable lot)
Reaaly enjoyed the show great to take Dumbo on the track even if it was behind a pace car I got to drive on the same track as some of my motor racing heros. It was really hot. Lots of forigen Minis from Russia, and other far flung locations. Well done to MINI for puting on a great wekend the only activits that weren't included in the addmission fee was the drive training and the helicopter rides.
Some very special classics and New Mini's on display and the clubstands wee very very posh each one had a proper marguee to use!!

it was a really good, really relaxed event. loads of deck chairs and fatboy bean bags to chill out on when you got worn out, except for some reason we never got to sit down. russ swift stunt display was awesome - luke said he didn't realise they could do that in real life! really good atmosphere, some really amazing cars, more new than classic, but well worth going, and really glad we did. we chatted to a few of our convoy - from canterbury, picked up some more at ashford, were telling them all about the grand tour - there may be a few enquiries. There was a really nice flip flop convertible with lambo doors - and she hadn't even washed it - it was filthy!! we were really taken with the lightning mcqueen bini in the car park when we got there too! quite made my luke's day!
