Lejog Day 1 Saturday

We have been invited to a BBQ, which is in aid of the CHSW. Half of the money raised will will be given in through our Grand Tour. Alison a very good friend of us Minis, is inviting us. It will cost us £5-00 to get in but I think Alison said we could eat as much as we like.

Alison is opening her garden to the world and said it would be nice if she had a bit of rough there so she invited us. The BBQ won't start until later in the afternoon so if you can make it down before then your welcome to join in.
I will check on the time but is any lejoger's interested.

Not sure what time we will get down, but if we make it in time count us in

I'd love to attend, just let me know in which direction to head.

Do we have to dress as hippies?

Not sure yet.

We'll be up for it but will depend on what time we arrive down

Both myself and Tony are interested in scoffing as much as we can partaking in a light bite or two.

We're leaving Leeds at 0700, so as long as there's not a test match on in Bristol we should be down there in reasonable time.

for those people who dont know where Alison lives shall we meet at Staples/Curry's/Mc D's/Comet Car Park  at 6- 6.10 to leave at 6.15


this car park is  opposite to Sainsbury's Supermarket so instead to turning to rd leading to the supermarket take turning opposite with Toyota Garage on it and then take 1st R

take next R --Mc Donald is on the corner very large carpark in front of you  watch out for traffic calming paviers they can be vicious to those with a low exhaust

I have spent a lot of time today cleaning Jock and Jock jr, I think he's had a bit of a shock to his system, can't remember the last time he had a bath    Anyway he's all gleaming and ready to go, all we have to do now is sort out what we are taking and get it packed    We are hoping to leave home at about 8 am on Saturday so, solstice permitting we should be there in plenty of time for the BBQ.  Ooh I think it's time to start getting exicted .  Bonus, tonight I lost 2lb at fat club, problem being a week cooped up in a mini with Morrisons breakfasts every day I'll probably put it all back on again but hey what the heck

All packed earlier this evening, less than 30 hours before we leave, ready to go now - bar the first tank of fuel, that is.

Weird thing is, I seem to have more room in Dennis and the minibum than I did last year, but the same stuff's gone in. Must just be getting used to packing it all 8-)

As non locals not too sure where the meet place for this, we'll be coming from Braddicks will anyone else?

keep on this rd go up and down three times past 5 layby's on L

At Roundswell roundabout take 2nd L (not into Services ie BP Garage/Spar Shop ) onto B3215  

at next Roundabout turn L into Roundswell Commercial Park

take next L into carpark for Carpetright/Curry's,Comet Mc D's

Me and Tony will be setting up at Braddicks first, then following the crowd.

It's a bummer when you can't find your way to a happening...  

its basically the same direction as to John o groats  up down up down few L's R'S Then just around the next corner !!!!

i really dont know what time i will be there   if not see you sunday

Jock and Jock jr  are packed and jr is firmly attached to Jock, I shall be picking PR up at about 7.45 in the morning and once we've put her stuff in the car/trailer we shall hit the road

Hope you all have a great time, and enjoy all ur morrisons breakfasts! I will miss not being on the journey with you all this year, and im very sure cheese will not know whats going on as hes normally been out for warm up 2 lejog drives already!  hope the weather is good for you, its meant to be lovely. xxxx
