If the hospital gave you your test results to take to your doctor and it was easy to open the envelope would you open it and read them?

Only time Ive ever opened something and wished I hadnt was one of my xmas presents when I was a kid. 3 days before xmas and I thought it was the Barbie horse that i really wanted, sneaked down and opened it and it was a plastic christmas stocking with sweets in. Not only did I not get the horse I had to look suprised and delighted when I opened the bloomin' stocking again!

Yes I think I would, i would want to know but on the other hand it might just say something that I dread like stop drinking, now that would be hard. I only reason I stopped smoking was because I was always to drunk to find me cigarettes.

To be honest, I don't know. Suppose it depends what the tests were for, and how long I'd have to wait. Oh yes, and whether I thought I'd understand what was being said!

I was in that position after a job interview and medical when I was 18, and I delivered an unopened envelope from the company doctor, to my G.P. - it was asking that I had a blood test because I had an isolated ulcer at the back of my throat (I've always suffered from mouth ulcers), which was, evidently, indicative of an S.T.D. that gay men get!! My mother went berserk when I'd had the test and my G.P. told me what it was for. Didn't bother me, as I'd never  . . .  (still haven't)!
The result was negative.
I got offered the job, but told them I didn't want it.

100% true - hope it gave you a laugh.
