I was hoping to make this my first IMM but we knew Leigh would be having her baby around the same time. We are going to spent this weekend with the family like we have for the past couple of weekends. It is such a manic time at the moment I have even been getting up at stupid o clock to get all the work done. I hope everyone has a great time and the weather is good to you.
BEAR FORCE ONE Terry is a muppet on the end of the arm of Tony Bear I LOOK, I LISTEN, I LEARN AND TAKE A STEP CLOSER TO THE FUNNY FARM EVERYDAY Bear force One. Working thrice as hard, for thrice as many children, getting to the funny farm three times as quickly Not long to go now then.

Hi there. I'll be there Friday to Sunday, on the Clubman Estate Register Stand with my Vermillion (ie. orange) Clubby Estate. Do say "Hello" if you're passing - I'm the short, fat, grey bearded, balding one (sad, but true!).
We are going up with all the SMOC equipment on Thursday staying in Coventry over night and moving to the IMM on friday morning hope to see you all there and hoping to have a nice rest after a very hectic SMD last weekend

You always get up at stupid o'clock Tel but like you I hope the weather is good and everyone has a great time at IMM. Look forward to seeing everyone at that 'thing at the end of the month'
We had a a great weekend, it was our first IMM and hope it wont be our last, the atmosphere was amazing as was the number of Minis, we met people from all over the world, sorry we missed some of you but will see you at the thing at the end of the month
Got back this morning (well to work if not home) had a fantastic weekend and got a little something special for LGT.
Weather was great and although i have spent the last 36 hours chatting with people (nothing unusual with that I know) I still didn't get a chance to say hi to everyone.
A few of my friends did the Cavalcade and said how well organised it was and they had never been on a run where marshall's blocked the roads and where at all junctions so the convoy could stay together. I have a vague idea I have been on a run like that and that it was at the end of August
We went on Saturday to the Mini 50 which ran along side the IMM, a bit expensive to get in £50 for 2 adults and 2 kids, typical £1.30 for a small bottle of coke, but a good day, loads of different minis from all over the world, we were looking for the pink bra, spent loads on the new engine rebuild, had to make two trips back to the car with bits, and the weather was very good, all we have to do now is get the cars ready for the end of the month, fit an induction kit to Julie's and an electric sunroof on mine, apart from that we'll all ready to go , just have to fit all the stuff into a roof box, one dog and two kids piece of cake

Yes, it was a good event. Met Gerry "Ger" from on here. Didn't see anyone else though.
I give them 9/10 for the event, because the sanitation was woeful! (Talking to one of the "operatives," who said they were asked to provide water, toilets and showers for 4500, but there were over 7000 people there - which is why the water kept running out so the toilets wouldn't flush, you couldn't wash your hands after going, and the shower stopped mid-lather!) Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed it - and Roy "I wish it could be Christmas every day" Wood, did a good set. Didn't spend much, but did manage to find the few bits I needed. Weather was good, beer flowed and company was great.
Just been looking at the map of Europe to see where next year's IMM is . . .

I had a fantastic weekend but as Richard says the tolilets and water situationleft a lot to be desired. Also the fact theat they were sending cars to the campsite throught the trade stands on soft boggy ground was a bit stupid especially when people kept walking in front of cars cuasing them to struggle to get up the hill (even more annoying when people wouldn't help push if they got stuck becuase they were in a new mini > ) Also the fact that up the top of the hil where we were camping there were 2 entraces which were not blcked off and there were no marshalls stopping those who didn't have tickets coming in I didn't see any marshalls checking to see if those camping had tickets so anyone could have pitched a tent so in someways feel like it was a very expenisve weekend.
And I thought that the Mini 50 show was meant to be a seperate show and people who came to that couldn't get access to the IMM site????

Hello mate. Yes, it is in Germany - in the south-east of the country though, a long way from Calais (I reckon at least 500 miles). Normally I'd say that's too far for me in a Mini (I know you LEJOG people do more than that, but it's too far for me!), but the guy wo's running it, Stefan, is a good bloke, who I'd like to support. So I'm going to look into how I might break the journey.
