Grand Tour accomodation

So where are we all staying or camping for Grand Tour?

We have 3 nights booked at Barnstaple Travelodge and planned to travel down overnight saturday to arrive in time for the marshals meeting.

I've been keeping an eye on where we normally self cater and it is not booked either side of the Bank Holiday and as long as she does'nt get a last minute booking we can have friday night as well for the same price as the Travelodge.Porridge and scrambled eggs for brekkie!

I will be down the usual place.

I take it you are still getting over the IMM

Sunday 23rd we will be travelling down to the Travelodge at Barnstable for 5 nights then going onto a B&B near Torrington, what a a busy month SMD, IMM, MITP and that thing at the end of the month  

i could'nt go to the imm i have to save up for that thing at the end of the month

It's a good job we don't go anywhere then. A lazy weekend in North Devon you must be joking. Has anyone done that thing at the end of the month and not been knackered by the time we get to lIfracombe.

We are renting a tent for two nights and then a week in the spiffy new caravan

Camping at Steart Farm for 4 nights, hoping to get down there lunchtime on the Friday

Dunno yet, depends on if there's a discount for the owner not having to erect it for the weekend

Just saves lugging ours down for two nights  

Well we will be arriving on wednesday at the campsite luckily it was dry the wekend so th tent is dry I can not wait

Also staying at Steart farm    , which has a lovely new main tarmac drive but watch out if you've lowered your mini or have a body kit    , there are four speed ramps.

If you are concerned about the speed ramps then I would suggest you call Mr Croslegh in adavnce, when we were down a few weeks ago he did say he might consider taking some up??

I'm doing that thing at the end of the month but don't have time for all the other things. Problem is work takes up too much time.

I took a day off today as it was my mum's 80th birthday, but ended up doing a double-length day yesterday and working until 1:30am to try to clear my work.

I have been having the same problem. Family comes first, then work, then that thing at the end of the month plus a few more things. I now wake up at stupid times just to get it all done. Nearly all sorted and I am still sending out booking forms and getting them back.
It's a good job there is 5 weeks in this month how many days left till the thing.

Why isn't the thing at the end of the month on the upcoming events bit at the bottom of the main forum page????

Terry, ever thought about giving out booking forms for 2010 when they register for 2009 (etc.), to get ahead of yourself, and save money on postage? You could say that the costs will be posted here by a certain date, and that they will then have one month to get their forms (& money) back before any are sent out to non 2009 LGT'ers.

Myself an Mrs Siddarz will be staying at Lower Yelland Farm again, although this year Snowy will be staying with the inlaws while we're away on the off-chance that the weather is good and the car will be too warm for her...

This year we are staying the whole week at a  lodge park called bulworthy forest park nr bideford no late night drive home  looking forward to the thing at the end of the month see you all soon

Your friends in SMOC would say no. None of them wanted to be around you but I think the public like them.
I do miss my air horns especially Jingle Bells.

This year we will mainly staying in a lovely detached bungalow   , three bedrooms, two bathrooms, conservatory, doing it in style this year, booked it at the begining of the year, and we will be down early Saturday for the Marshall meeting once we know where that is

Myself, Mr Smith and the rest of the Safmini crew are BnB for 3 nights at Mrs Willes in Instow. Worlington House, looks like a stately home and Mrs Willes is priceless. We made the mistake 2 years back of staying somewhere else, bad move. We book our rooms for the next year when we pay to leave. Some of us are moving on to a nice cottage in Dorset to take a few more days rest.

We've just had it confirmed we can have our self catering place for 4 nights which is good. We can have a proper breakfast and it has nicer parking than the Travelodge at Barnstaple.

The lady has 2 new kittens so Domino had best be a good boy. We're now coming down early friday morning.

We're leaving Friday at 9ish. Plan to have lunch at Bickleigh Mill (just south of Tiverton), a place I can thoroughly recommend for a visit/meal. About an hour from Bideford. We can get into our cottage from 3pm.

We push the boat out. We take tomato sandwiches for our picnic and have several stops for my legs to unfold and for Domino. We top up with Shell petrol at Tiverton.

Haven't sorted it out yet. Not sure what I am going to do, but will more than likely end up at Braddick but that is because I have to do the booking in

We usually stop at Morrisons at Wincanton to fill up with petrol and eat in their cafe

Not worried about the neighbours just the council on the other hand you could have a mini run to our house you mini owners can get away with anything

When we stayed at your Travelodge we used the cone by the reception walkway to save one of the 2 nice side on bays. Worked every time!

It's been really hot here today Luke and James were in the paddling pool all afternoon - oh not forgetting Auntie she had her feet in it too - mind you James managed to get her quite soggy

You could always do what i do Tie a tin can to the end of a bit of rope attached to a telegraph pole and shout down it a lot of people will hear you but no one will take any notice that happens to me all the time.

I have a 3 mobile internet connection I shall be bringing with me - it worked really well last year  

No they are not I have a complete list of every car that has been parked within 500 yards of my house. I think I am on a council hit list. But please don't ask why.

Your neighbours are envious of all your friends that come to see you? You have lots of parking outside yours.

I also ave lots of parking inside and thats what's getting up their noses. Why would any one in their right mind want to store 12 minis on their property and that doesn't include the ones that I work on. Today I have mainly been looking at 15 minis.
