Whilst on our 3 week holiday I put 3lb on (Andrew lost 3lb). Last week I lost those 3lbs and this week I lost 4lbs.
I've come away with Club target award (lost 10% bodyweight) One and a half stone loss award Slimmer of the week award(a basket of goodies) and I won the raffle-a box of Scoobydoo freezer pops!
I think I was more determined after getting my cholesterol results and heart tracing. And that was being at Andrew's mum's birthday party where there was trifle and birthday cake.
Oh well done Rita - I lost two and a half pounds this week - trouble is I put on one and a half last week and OMG three the week before Hopefully back on course again now. You're really doing well keep it up
Well done Rita that's brill-Congratulations!! And 2.5 pounds is fantastic in a week O.B. I'm on a health kick at the mo have gone from 11 stone 8 to 11 stone. Ideal weight is 9 stone 3 though!!!Depressing Have been using the Wii active-can thoroughly recommend it, you can certainly feel it the morning after!

11 stone is a dream for me. That's a big % weight loss. Well done!
My knees restrict my physical exercise but they are getting better all the time. I can walk nearly a mile each evening with a 10 minute rest at a bus stop waiting for Andrew to get off the train. Domino gets 2 good walks a day plus playtime in the garden.
Thanks Rita- that has taken 2 months, but i suppose a pound a week is about right? I really have no idea. Wouldnt recommend Wii active to anyone with knee probs-mine make enough creaking sounds during lunges and they are fine (apart from being very old-thought i'd get that in just in case RHM is lurking) Rosie gets her walk down to the river most days(I walk-she runs off the lead but I'm usually more knackered than her when we get back!) My job is quite hectic, mainly picking internet orders so am on my feet lugging around big tubs of paint when I'm there. Food is my prob though, could quite happily consume a packet of shortbread in 10 minutes! Is it Slimming world or Weight Watchers that you go to?

Slimming World, suggested by O-B. Her daughter has lost 5 stone that I know and I dream of losing that amount of weight and would then be quite happy to stay on my new eating regime. A pound a week off is realistic and what I often achieve.

Lisa is over the 7 and half stone mark now, i believe. People keep saying she must need to stop now - but i think our family have very heavy bones because we can all still afford to lose more! I'm on an enforced low fat diet and am making the most of heinz spaghetti hoops, which are low fat, low sugar AND i of your 5 a day!! WINNER!!

Anyone who loses weight through willpower, helped by a slimming club or not, has my admiration. The only time I've ever lost weight was due to illness - as testified to by my girth! However, I've never felt the need to, despite being told I was in the "obese" category at all of my work medicals (BMI was 32). I responded that I was just a foot too short, and that there was as much chance of me gaining a foot in height as there was me getting down to under 10 stone - which is the recommended weight for a 5ft. 6in. man (I was never that light even when at school, when I played football for the school on a Saturday am, rugby for Portsmouth Rugby Club on Saturday pm, and trained three times per week. So I simply don't believe the doctor's charts.) Keep it up though ladies, if it's what you want, "all power to your elbow!"
Not sure I believe the 1 of your 5 a day bit.......?!
it says so on the tin!! i've not got my pants on fire!

not unless it says so on the tin! and it's full of sugar anyway (spaghetti hoops are apparently 47% tomato - which troubles me because i don't like tomatoes)

Lets not forget fruit, she use to enjoy a cider that is one of the five. I heard she now has the odd apple instead.

i like roast parsnips, roast potatoes and carrots. i can eat cabbage in a roast dinner if i must, and i suppose broccoli and cauliflower if i really really must (but definitely not the stalks), but generally choose not to (and anyway i can't cook a roast dinner ). mum always made us eat all our veg, (even if it took hours - and sometimes it did), and when i said i didn't like tomatoes because of the slimy pips she used to slice the end off the tomato without pips. we had to have one slice of tomato and one of cucumber and the only way i could eat it was with pickled onion so i couldn't taste it and didn't know what it was that was crunching. i don't really eat fruit either - although have been making jellies recently with fruit pieces in (pear or peach because i don't like bits, or seeds ... well you get the idea) - very adventurous of me i feel! but i am fond of my apple juice....

Very well done! Did you get the basket of goodies?
I'm due to go thursday but got a long day at hairdresser in Hammersmith and might not get back in time. I'm expecting a weight loss but in a way I want to save that for my weigh in after my trip to Devon.(cheat)

I've been to fat club tonight as I won't be able to go to my usual meeting tomorrow and woo hoo I've lost 2lbs yay Also an extra bonus I had to go and get my blood pressre checked last Friday - it was a bit low - had to go back today and get it checked again, still a little on the low side and the bonus is that the doctor has taken me off of the tablets I've been on for high blood pressure for the last couple of years WOO HOO

Well done. Good news about coming off the blood pressure pills. I go back to get my blood pressure checked after Grand Tour. I also received in the post today an appointment to see a cardiologist in October. I'll not be helping push any minis that are stuck!

I'm sure losing a couple of stone has helped with the blood pressure, I'd been feeling a little dizzy (ok dizzier than usual before anyone else says it ) so thought my blood pressure had dropped somewhat but coming off the tablets well I'm chuffed to bits. Keep on with slimming regime Rita I'm sure you will be fine as well. Looking forward to seeing you soon
Been in Hammersmith all day, well caught 7.15 train to Victoria and then travelled overground and spent long day at hairdressers having my own hair washed after the removal of my volumiser and then put back on again with some autumn colour. Got back to station at 7.15 pm and not enough hours to get everything done so reluctantly gave slimming club a miss.
Sorting the BP and BMI are major achievements - excellent news ! I appreciate this as I have got myself sorted now and no longer receive the enivitable lectures at the doctors ! I have been told not to lose any more weight though....and it's hardly likely this weekend with all the cream teas that are going to be forced upon us (last year at Lee Abbey I sadly sat and ate bag of weightwatchers crisps while everyone else had a cream tea !)
If any of you lot want to lose some serious weight next year why not take over running the LGT, the only problem is you could end up losing your mind as well, like me.

How did we all do this week? I lost half a pound last week after LGT which I was pleased at as we had fish and chips twice and curry twice. Tonight I lost 2 lbs.
I went last night and was absolutely gob smacked - I lost three and a half pounds I nearly fell off the scales in shock . When I think about what I ate while we were in Devon (especially three lots of garlic mushrooms yum) one lot at the Elizabethan and two at the Waterfront plus fish and chips. I have been back on the program since I've been home tho' and I'm back at the gym and have walked a lot. I only need to lose half a pound next week and I will have lost two and a half stone chuffed or what
I think you're doing really well Rita and its shows now. If I can get off of my blood pressure tablets, which is a definite bonus, just keep in mind the health benefits when you think of lapsing
I only lost half a pound this week but they awarded me slimmer of the week?!
How do they work it out, I was genuinely amazed. There were other ladies who lost 2 pounds and I'm sure they weighed in last week. I'm not complaining as you get the basket of goodies. (Everyone takes in something suitable) Hope my cat likes tuna.
I didn't do so well this week - I put on 2lbs - last week after a week in Westward Ho! I lost 3 1/2lbs, this week following the plan, doing 5 exercise classes and walking into Ramsgate twice I put on 2, to be honest I don't know what I have done wrong it's a bit disheartening tho'
We spent last week in Devon. Strangely I did not have much of an appetite and ate little including slimming world approved flying saucers. Last night I got on the scales and had lost four and a half pounds. I got my 2 stone loss sticker which is now one third of the weight I want/need to lose. I've set myself a 2 year target to do it gradually. I have to!
I also went to see the cardiologist at the hospital yesterday and had anothet ECG which still shows as abnormal. I next have to go treadmill running ( my knees? ) wired up to a monitor and an echocardiogram which is ultra sound of the heart.
It was also suggested to walk further than the one mile I do a day so from today I will also do Domino's early morning walk.
Keep up the good work Rita, you're doing really well wiith the weight loss, I opted not to go t slimming world this week, I enjoyed my holiday and enjoyed my food and wine while I was over there. The girls and I are off to a wedding in Sussex this weekend so after the weekend I'm going to get myself back on track - I hope
