One of my pupils had his test booked for monday next week. He comes from a family that struggles to put a meal on the table and mum has paid for his lessons. He is a "nice" 17 year old lad and we have worked hard together and I believe that he would have passed his test first time on monday but they have delayed his test until october 16th! We have done under 30 hours and instead of paying me £75 for use of my car on test day, he and his dad were to give it a full valet. We now have to juggle a few more lessons nearer his test so at worse it's an interruption.

Then, I pick up a new pupil from a very nice house with Nat west private banking cheque from her parents and she tells me when she has passed her theory she can spec and order a brand new MINI ONE.

Guess who I help the most?

Yes, very interesting isn't it? I can't say as I blame you either, Rita.

Hmm quite a difference there then   She will never appreciate her car as much as the young lad will when he gets his first one

I had something similar happen to me when I was teaching on motorbikes.
It's nice to see the "underdog" coming through, rather than the rich kid having every thing handed to them on a plate

Only a biker understands why a dog sticks it's head out of a car window!!!

I managed to find a cancellation for this guy. We only had another 2 hour lesson totalling 30 hours in all (average 40-50). He passed his test first time this morning with 4 minor errors. Today was a good day!

If the pupil's that well off I'm sure they'll "need" a few more lessons than normal & you won't be able to get a test for them for a long while

Mind you there's plenty of house that've got a Rolls Royce on the drive & ****** all in the fridge as my mum would say

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a

well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways,

totally worn out, shouting,  ' Holy s*!t... What a Ride!! '
