Sponsor acknowledgements

For the past 2 or 3 years I have managed to keep the same group of sponsors. they are family and friends and I keep them in touch all year as to our continued fund-raising.

We came home yesterday and I have already written to them, telling them how much we personally raised and of the £31,000. I also let them know we enjoyed ourselves and will update them at Christmas.

I now use the cards that Penny sells using scenes of The Grand Tour and that always helps.

So, take time and incur a small outlay but now write and thank your main sponsors. How often have you sponsored someone and never heard any more? You'll get their support next year.

Micky, Penny has found more pictures of your car, including a photo from this year and has taken the details to the printer. She is a good girl and will produce you 3 cards for just £2.50. Cheap as chips. I know you'll be grateful and I'll arrange pick up/delivery.

Contrary to popular opinion I do not want these pics for my own vanity but Cindee is returning shortly to Singapore to be reunited with her father for only the second time in nearly 34 years   (family politics I am afraid but at least it is all sorted now). She will also be taking our son Nat who will see his Grandad for the first time ever and it was thought that the cards would make an original gift..........No I'm not that tight.......there will be other gifts Any of Nat driving? He was only there for the Monday driving the L2B promo car G864 RPN.

Thanks Rits for the promotion of my Cards i would like to take full credit but infortunately i was inspired from some cards Mrs Jackson made for us last year and i used Michael Bennetts lovely photos !!!

i have taken some myself from this year so have had some printed of Mickys with the 2009 plaque on

if anyone would like to send me a 6x4 photo of there Mini i am happy to make some for them but bear in mind i have to crop them to roughly a 4"x4"

Talking of sponsors Jock, Jock jnr, Michelle and I are off to Demelza House Children's Hospice in Sittingbourne tomorrow to present our LeJog money to them and get some pictures taken.  We will the write to our sponsors and thank them with some photos.  
Went out to start Jock and he was sulking big time he hasn't been used since we came down for Sarah and Joel's wedding.  He would not even cough,  had to drive Gem up my neighbour's drive so that I could jump start him (he was right up against the fence at the end of my drive - so was a bit tricky to get the jump leads on )  Have had the battery pack on charge for a while just in case he has another sulk tomorrow.
