Not only did the mini beak down on the thursday of last week,  but we were unable to hire a car as we had left our driving licence, passports and household bills at home, where we were staying was in the back of beyond, (thanks for the lift back, Terry.) with very little mobile signel,  standing on one leg in the girls room.
on getting back home, the world and his wife saw us unload the car.  i then found that i had forgot to pay my phone bill, and had been put on incomeing calls only,   i paid the bill over the mobile phone, again not the best reception, sitting in the garden, i was told to ring back monday to get the bar lifted.  then we had a phone call from the bank to tell us that our card had been scamed and some one had been topping up there mobile,   IN DEVON. monday came, i tried to ring the phone company, was put on hold and used all my credit, decided to call at 9pm as i thought it would be less busy, (in the garden, in the dark, with a touch), got through and was given another phone number to call, re dialed and that line closed at 8pm. Ahhhhhhhhhh,
its all sorted now, phone back on, new bank card, and the mini will hopefully be going to the garage on monday.   KEEP SMILING

Poor you. We learned the hard way about not carrying your driving licence and now do. Not the paper part mind you and that is where any endorsements would be.

Let's hope you get your car sorted soon. You're all home safe. And I bet it was a tourist in Devon!

Mine too - and before long it will be in 8 equal parts as the creases split...

At least we don't have to renew our every 10 years

Sadly I had to go modern when I moved into my bungalow (change of address) mind you Simon my old one had more sellotape holding it together than actual paper

Mine had its 21st birthday earlier this year and will be almost 40 by the time I need to renew it as long as I don't move and they don't change the rules.

Thankfully it's in pretty good condition so I'm confident it will make it....... as long as I do too.
