We have now decided that we do not need/want to sell Krakatoa. Mortgage cuts have certainly helped us and I finished paying for Bumble.
He has been at Wood and Pickett for 15 months with a greedy price tag on his head. Today we took him back and discussed storage options and someone offered us a figure that 12 months ago I would have accepted. I apologised that he was no longer for sale and realised I would have felt gutted if I had parted with him.
We were not using him, and arguing when prepping him for show n shine. I've lost a little weight and my knees are enjoying that and did not suffer on Grand Tour. You do NOT have as much fun in a new MINI on Grand Tour. Domino got used to being thrown around.
So no more show n shine, he's proven he can win prizes but we'll keep him for best and fun and selected mini shows.
Storage in a nice barn at Wood and Pickett is £50 a month but Mike Standring agreed today we can store him in his showroom, heated and carpeted for the same price. Some of Mike's customers like to see the car in the flesh and he has got subsequent business out of Krakatoa.
We've made sure he is insured under a different address to our home address else he might not be covered.
And Bumble can share the garage with Lazybones again. |
