sorry to ruin the new 2010 Diary already but due to circumstances beyond my control we have had to change the date of the post Christmas meal -- but do keep the 13th Feb free as another message may appear soon re this date !!!!

So the new date is 16th Jan same place

Menu
Starters:

Chicken liver Pate,
Fig and Goats Cheese Filo parcels'
King Prawn Cocktail or
Home Made soup

Main:
Turkey
'Gammon Ham'
Salmon Fillet or
Roasted Mushroom cashew nut butter bean Wellington

Sweet:
Christmas Pudding' Mascapne
Vanilla Cheesecake
'Chocolate orange Torte or
Profiteroles

Cost without the Disco would be £19.50 Adult and £10.95 for Children

i have to pay the deposit in late Nov so a Cheque for £5.00 per person made out to the Cedars not me will be needed to book your place to the Social Event of the year!!!!!!

sometimes my mind not only wanders it goes off on its own

Are you sure it is Graham & Sheila and not Graham & Sandra. I did manage to get a news letter out and sent it to over 70 people, so I have tried.

After much deliberation Michelle and I have decided against travelling to Devon this weekend   It's such a long journey and to be honest even if it does thaw a bit more we think it's a bit risky to come.  We are really disappointed but under the circumstances we think it's the best decision.  Hopefully we can come for a weekend once the weather improves and meet up with you all then

I think we all have too much to eat over December and January heralds diet plans. I don't think as a nation we celebrate Easter enough but it does make a nice weekend break. Maybe we could trial an Easter dinner one year.

I'm sure Carol - but given the amount of white stuff we've had in the south east, you made the right decision. It's nearly all gone here now, but side roads were stil treacherous until yesterday afternoon. How about in Planet Thanet?

We've had quite a lot of rain and it's all been washed away, apart from odd little patches still lurking in odd corners   But I keep remembering last year when the whole country - including Devon was in the grip of the white stuff - all apart from Planet Thanet that is

I've just got home from this, it was lovely to finally put names to faces!

I made a bit of an entrance - unintentional I'll have you know - which resulted in me filling in the accident book

If we had decided to have a food fight with the roast potatoes we'd of seriously damaged each other, they we're like pebbles!

Never the less it was a lovely evening, and Barry won me a raffle prize!

I best start heading upstairs soon, it will take me a few hours to get up there!

Thank You Kev! Your lucky I didn't end up on your lap or you may have ended up wearing my drink - I still don't know how I managed not to spill it!

Thank god Lotty and Kate's place has a lift or I would of ended up sleeping on the sofa, Poor Barry propped me up most of the way, cutting off the blood to my arm in the process! Depending on how things are in the morning, I may end up at minor injuries

Bet that Barry was plying you with drink before you left home!

R.
ps. Hope you're feeling better this morning.

I could understand it if that was the case but it wasn't! I'd had a glass of wine with Kate before leaving for the meal and had a southern comfort and lemonade in my hand when it happened!

I still can't weight bear on it too well this morning, I had to hop around seeing to the horses this morning which was rather interesting. I really think I might have to get it checked out, I was hoping it would just go away!

I think you should get it checked out. My wrist hurt once when Heidi "jerked" the flexi lead and I twisted my wrist to avoid decapitating Andrew. Later X rays revealed it was broken.

I agree with Rita. Soft tissue injury is bad enough, but if it's skeletal, and it's untreated, it could affect the rest of your life. Off for an X-ray, young lady!

Just back from the local minor injuries, no x-ray given, they reckon it's just bruised, but why does it hurt so much?!?!

Often the way that soft tissue injuries are very painful. Good news is that you've had it checked out and nothing's broken - so it's just a matter of time.

Put your feet up - higher than your bum, to keep the swelling down - and make demands for loads of cups of tea on the basis "I'd do it myself, but I've been told to rest, with my foot up" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad sprains can hurt but if it persists I would do A&E where they would hopefully X-ray. Best bet I always think is the vet!

Is that to put me out of my misery!

Richard - I don't get any sympathy here from parents and Barry's not here so looks like I'm making my own Tea!

I'll remind you of that next time you need your temperature taken

Not sure if I should start a Minehead group as I seem to spend more time there these days but I love it.
