BEAR FORCE ONE Terry is a muppet on the end of the arm of Tony Bear I LOOK, I LISTEN, I LEARN AND TAKE A STEP CLOSER TO THE FUNNY FARM EVERYDAY Bear force One. Working thrice as hard, for thrice as many children, getting to the funny farm three times as quickly Not long to go now then.
Sounds like fun - an outing to Bude or wherever. Especially the cream tea bit! I shall be there. Fingers crossed for at least a little bit of sunshine.
Asylum ready Let Me Out! I admit it I love mini's and beetles!!

Having communicated with our friends on Planet Thanet, the south east contingent of NDMR are going out on a run the same day. We are meeting at Ramsgate Lido as last year as they did a good cooked breakfast. We will meet from 10 to leave at 11 and do a similar run to last year as it worked well. Rumour has it, we may have a biker leading us.
I ask Michelle to post details of the start point and when Mags (scoobydoo) comes back from Turkey perhaps she can advertise it to SMOC members who are more than welcome.
I'll also ask Mick from LSMOC to post it on their board. This time we will have sunshine too!

Looking at SMOC board Gary has posted a brunch run on the same day for their members. I was hoping we could combine again but we'll wait for Mags to come back. I liked our Ramsgate start, it was dog friendly.
i had noticed that too, was going to suggest a joint run; but thought best wait untill mags is back, these things have to go through the committe, but we will be starting with you on planet thanet.
Yep, we'll have 3 cars and a bike marshal leading the way so only a few cars short of Grand Tour. Michelle can you add details of the start point again sometime. Thanks.

Includes googlemap of route we did last time, and I think most of the basic details are the same...

For the few who are going let's hope the weather is better than today. I feel sorry for the Old Crocks run today.
I believe we agreed to leave 11 ish to allow those who are allowed it, a cooked breakfast. And fish and chips at Whitsable!? Hopefully we can fit in Herne Bay too. We might even see SMOC on their run at the same time.

Michelle was saying the same thing earlier as we were driving along in the howling wind and pouring rain
Think positive Rita. I shall be there with Gem and the boys, Michelle will be our motorcycle marshall, Lisa is working and Nigel won't be in from Saturday night work until late so I think we wll have to let him off this time

i'm keeping my paws crossed - but the bbc weather site reckons sunny intervals on the planet tomorrow!! woo hoo!!
of course it's lashing it down now, and one of my cats is attacking the rain drops on the window..... the non furry boys have at least stopped racing around the flat and are in fact asleep now. I may join them in the land of nod - but i've just started watching the full monty now - good film!!

We're home after a nice day out. The weather was kind to us and I'm sure Michelle will put a picture on taken during a sunny interval. We met up with 4 cars from SMOC. I think they would have liked to join up with us, they would have been welcomed.
we had a great time, thanks to michelle, carol and the boys, rita and andrew, it was good to be on a run again, all be it a small one. just had some lovely mussels which we brought from whitstable fish market and we didnt mind the mini sandwhich.
There was blue sky on occasion and definite hints of sunny intervals....

It was like a mini Grand Tour whereby we had a biker leading us. You guys in Devon must have felt the same as you had Jay leading you AND you had real Devon roads. We had a few detours round remembrance day services, which was acceptable.
I have some sad news to add to Sunday, after we arrived home Nigel had cooked us some dinner, then I dropped Michelle home and came home to find Jess, my cat, collapsed just inside the cat flap. She had had either a stroke or a seizure, not too sure, but she was obviously seriously ill. Michelle came over, she also contacted my neighbour. Michelle rang the vet and my neighbour and her husband took us over. It seems as though Jess had a rather large tumor in her stomach and there was nothing that could be done for her apart from putting her to sleep. She was nearly 14 years old,
I am really missing her and keep on looking round thinking I'm about to trip over (which was the usual, as she was always under my feet). I was too upset to post this any sooner and also I did not want to spoil the comments about Sunday, it was such a great day - until I got home.
You were kind enough to tell me sunday and the circumstances and the shock of your pet's demise is very upsetting. Many of us on the board understand how you are feeling. When we lost Heidi we only went a few days before we started to look for another. Never could we replace her so I went for something completely different and boy I got that!
Maybe think of visiting a local animal shelter. We found taking Smoky on at 18 months potentially easier than a kitten with claws! You might come away with a pair.
Thank you Rita - sadly Jess was one of a pair - her sister Sam decided that when Dave died she wasn't going to stay down here with me, so she opted to go up on his cloud with him, now he has Jess as well. I can't think about another pet at the moment, but maybe in a while.
