tonight ive got a friends birthday to go to, he works at the pub down the road so obviously thats where it is. also tonight is The Return of "Hobgoblin" & "Old Hoocky" straight from the barrel, which is also a big occasion and reason to celebrate by getting wasted. next weekend got a works xmas party on friday night, and saturday got another xmas party/housewarming at a friends place in Tooting (that be london somewhere), the weekend after that is a 'school bus reunion', again at the local pub - i dont think that will be much different from any other night of drink.
and i havent thought of the rest yet, see what happens. |

My Christmas started with a day off work yesterday when, as Rita has mentioned elsewhere, we went to Bourton-on-the Water. They kick off their Christmas celebrations with stalls, sideshows a funfair and a Christmas tree in the river. There was also a snowstorm. I'm having the week before Christmas off work this year which means I can help Rita prepare and be totally chilled by the time the big day comes. It sure beats working right up until Christmas Eve. Then it'll be back to work for the three days between the Christmas bank holidays and New Year. The trains into work will be quiet but I'm sure I'll be kept busy when I'm there. Then we'll be starting 2010 in the same way as last year with the London NYD Parade. |

I am so looking forward to Christmas because there is no mail which means no stupid letters coming through my post box. On the other hand I have one going through the District Council offices tomorrow. |

Excellant as alway, Shane was suitibly lubricated as usual. The playlist is virtually the same every year, as they're not promoting an album they just play all the classics. Not sure sure who sang Fairytale of New York with Shane this year, It's been Jem Finers Mrs recently, but it was dedicated to Kirsty Maccoll as always. Can't recommend their Christmas shows highly enough, it's something everyone should see at least once in their life! |
