Just in case you have not seen it my ode to the Mother in Law.
Twas the night before Christmas
And the dragon in Law was there.
Sitting in her favorite place
With her bum stuck to the chair.
Twas the night before Christmas
With Children all tuck in Bed.
But we were still working hard
Trying to keep the dragon fed.
Twas the night before Christmas
And the Dragon in Law was merry
It's no wonder
She had drunk all of Linda’s Sherry
Twas the night before Christmas
And Santa was on his way
If I wanted to get rid of her
I knew I would have to pay.
Twas the night before Christmas
And Santa was at the door.
I offered him Fifty Quid
But he wanted a lot more.
Twas the night before Christmas
And Santa wouldn't budge.
I didn't have any money
So I swapped her for a packet of fudge.
Twas the night before Christmas
And Santa had come back
The Dragon in law was also there
With her bum stuck to his sack
Twas the night before Christmas
And Santa wasn't amused
He had lost his great big smile
And his ears were looking very bruised.
Twas the night before Christmas
And never let it be said
If you really want a good time at Christmas
Don't let the Dragon in Law get out of Bed.

She hasn't seen it yet to busy worrying about all the presents Linda has to go out and buy for her and what is happening at Christmas .
Same as last year Linda goes out to work and I get stuck with the dragon whist getting Christmas dinner ready. Mind you she always comes into the kitchen asking if there is anything see can do. |
