Seconded, although we'll be camping next year and leaving Snowy in the capable hands of the inlaws again.

They look a bit like the ones at Stanford Hall last year, very posh inside and a pleasure to use (if that doesn't make me sound too weird   )

YES VERY MUCH - my parents, sister and her hubby stayed here too they really liked it - Molly was 12 weeks when they stayed and they were happy to have such a young pup.
Sadly they wont be there this week as they have rented a house for 2 weeks as my sis will have a little baby by then and they want space!!

As for me i think i will prob stay at my own house that sounds like a v good idea

We've just booked the Travelodge at Barnstaple, I'm pretty certain they allow dogs.
The rooms are basic, but generally better than camping & at £60 per night for the room not bad value

Yep, they do allow dogs at £20 a stay each. Weve stayed there a lot and the petrol station there has a really good assortment of food. We got a good breakfast each day and then ate out during the day. There is also a KFC on site, in case of desperation. Just down the road at Fremington is an excellent fish and chip takeaway/restaurant called Graylings.

The reason for Rita's "in case of desperation" was that we were both ill last time we ate there.

There are chairs in Graylings but I think they are really intended for when you are waiting for your order rather than for eating in.

To add a bit to Terry's post about the loo's, we went to a wedding in Bishop's Nympton (just off the link road) last July. The reception was held at the bride's parent's place with a marquee and all that stuff !! They had an Exmoor luxury loo thing there. Good quality stuff.
