FACEBOOK

I'm a facebook virgin. I've been reluctant to visit, mainly worried in case it becomes addictive. At a friend's house last night (we have 2) they showed me their farm they were building and I think I would like a go. I know Sarah and Joel have one. Can anyone tell me is it easy to do? I have limited PC skills but quite good at learning as I go. Not sure if Andrew is going to be keen on it.

Facebook is very addictive! And Famville is good fun for a while, I got bored though! You start with a little farm and by growing crops and having animals you can gain access to more crops and more animals and expand your farm. You need neighbours (other people on facebook who have famville too) who will provide you with 'gifts' It's pretty simple stuff really, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I've also got 2 farms, a tropical island and cafe, if I can do it Rita you can, I am on as Mags Bullen and I will be your friend/neighbour all you have to do is make a request, its gets easier the more time you spend on but as the others say it's very adictive

Ditto, I'm scared too. I have peered in to see if there are old school friends on there and there are some I'd like to get in contact with, I imagine its pretty easy to log on but I dont know how easy it is to put the pics on. When I try to email pics they seem to be too big for the recipient and as Partyring will tell you, I couldnt even put my own forum pic on! I'm worried that if I try to put my pics on facebook that they will be too big or something. I've limited computer skills too. Driving is so much easier....

I'm on there too. I joined a year ago because I was told there were some pictures of me on there, and to see them I'd have to join. Don't go on there very often, and haven't joined any of the game thingys that are on there. Some people seem to spend all their lives on it, doing those sorts of things, and others seem to publish very strange things: as if the world wants to know that they're going to "have a few beers tonight"??!! I don't understand that at all. Even more strange is that, pretty much without inviting anyone to be my friend, I've been invited to be loads of people's friends on there, and I now have 99 - now that IS strange, me 99 friends?? How did that happen - Mrs. J. says I'm such an old curmudgeon, they can't possibly know me, or they wouldn't have invited me!!

My profile photo is taken in Victoria Park, Bideford, a few years ago (clean shaven, so maybe 2000? or earlier?) queueing to get in, in my old white Mini, before I started to marshall.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll soon learn the vagaries of the system, Rita. Go for it!

kevin joined facebook yesterday and is waiting for friends, at the moment he has 4, and 3 of them live with him.

I only joined to see some pictures as well Richard and I do think it's odd the way people put on there that they are sad (very if you ask me) and what they are doing (who cares? ) but I have got into farmville and now treasure madness.  Seem to have quite a few friends - not sure that I know all of them tho'
