Snap! We were having some food (and drink!) in Pizza hut with other mini people, looked up and it was chucking it down with white stuff! When we lift there was snowball fights and Barry caught me square on the nose! little monster!
The roads were a tad slippy on the way to the show the following morning! But Charlie did great!

We had snow today, a covering but it was also below freezing so all driving tests cancelled. I have one at 9.17 tomorrow but I think it will be wet.

They're very precise at that test centre!

No snow up this way since it all went, though there are still a few hardy ice piles in the car park at work still.

All tests are at odd times so they can fit about 7 a day in and allow for traffic and breaks. 8.10. 9.17. 10.24. 11.21. 12.08 1.44 2.35. 3.27 if light allows. It can play havoc on your regular diary so up goes the price to £75 to let them use your car on test which includes an hour lesson before.

I taught 2 girls and a boy from the same family, the girls passed 1st time, the guy 2nd. Boys are scrutinised more. He passed a year ago and I had to see him last week as he's been caught speeding twice, both times on camera at 36 in a 30 zone. In first 2 years if they get 6 points they lose licence, have to retake theory and practical. I got him a cancellation for saturday but he only has to fart in a 20 mph zone and he'll fail. Easy money for me!

Failed her test. Not good on reversing on hour before test and on test landed up on kerb on parallel park. then took the car into a meeting situation with another car whereby she could have been gentlemanly and waited. 2 serious errors.

I wish I could look after her for you. She's level headed she'll be ok. Have you chosen a lady or a male instructor?

Was it a company called "Let's Drive" They were prominent when I was looking to be an instructor about 2003. They wanted to rival AA and BSM. They offered me a training opportunity but wanted ALL my money up front. Someone on LGT Stuart Chapman joined them but they dissolved and it was not very fruitful for him.

I had a lady instructor. We used my Mini, a 1963 850 Super de Luxe, 381CBK, which I bought for £210 with money my late Grandma left me. First lesson with her was 10am. on my 17th birthday, although ten hours earlier, at 00.01, my Dad took me out in it. And talking of Snow Chaos, my Driving Test, exactly two months later, was cancelled because of snow. They slotted me into a cancellation, and I passed, on 6th. January 1972 - there was still snow on the pavement, and I was worrying it'd be cancelled again. I skipped off school for the test (missed double Maths - phew!), and drove back to school for the afternoon lessons, as well as for the next five terms - what a poser!!

You did well. On my 1st driving test I drove too fast and on my 2nd too slow. On my third my bra strap broke whilst reversing which distracted me but I passed. In my time you were not given the result on the day but they posted it to you. I too had a lady instructor. I warn my pupils at the start I'm not always a lady. I can give as good as we get.

Unfortunately he failed 2 serious errors. He turned right at a roundabout but used the inside lane. The examiner also said he put his clutch down too soon and was coasting. Looking for another cancellation.
