Is anyone going to Brooklands at the end of this month? as we intend to go but never been before so any tips on the show?
Don't take the dog as not allowed which is why we no longer go but have been and it's harmless. Quite a friendly atmosphere as the museum runs it. People on gate quite rude to new MINI but show mainly aimed for classics. Proper show and shine this year and bookings needed for hill climb in advance.
We paid extra to go "on" the Concorde, I quite enjoyed it. Nice little cafe there and things to do. Other than Crystal Palace, our nearest show but we let Domino rule our weekends nowadays. You'll get more advice as a few more on the board are going.
I'm thinking about going this year as It's one I never done before, will probably wait & see what the weathers like on the day though, as it's only 30 minutes away round the M25

Well I think we will be going, its a bit of a trot form the Midlands but I worked on a refurb on the M+S there so it will be nice to go back, what time does it start ? 10am any idea how much it costs? is it per car or per head? thanks for the info
Google Brooklands mini show 2010. Museum opens at 10 but I'm sure we used to get there earlier. Closes at 4. £10 each I recall...... Scoobydoo will help when she comes on as Mags organises southern mini owners club stand.
Well be going to the Breakfast Club at RAF Cosford on Sunday looking forward to that where do you work Steve?
I work for a construction company based in London, but we do Ikea, Sainsbury, Tesco, Waitrose but at present I am doing a job at Stansted, we may come to Cosford on Sunday, what time will you get there? we went a couple of times last year, it was good so may see you there if I get all my jobs done on Saturday

I think Rita is right, been out of touch this week as we have been away, think we are meeting at Clackets approx 08.30am, we usually arrive at the show between 09.00-09.30

There's usually a queue to get in, from 9:30 til the gates open at 10:00, and it doesn't clear until after 10:30. As Rita said, good cafe - I can already feel a good fry up calling me!
I'll be there, on Club Stand 5 - The Clubman Estate Register. Please come and say "Hello."
Nice show, with quite a bit of non-Mini things to do as well. Usually not a lot of traders though.
The missus may be having a lie in but the kids and me are keen so may see you there, fingers crossed
Saw your car but not you our group of 3 parked next to you Red New Cooper Green Clubman Estate and Mine I really enjoyed it will be going again It helped the weather was good

Yes, I did see your motor, we got there early, there were only two mini when we arrived , loads of ST focus's, at least we got in the cafe before the queues started getting too bad , disappointed that the full size airfix spifire wasnt therre , asked about it, it's fallen apart the James May pilot is the only bit there good thing was the car didnt miss a beat getting there, so should be okay for Brooklands, hardest bit will be getting the kids up early again
I'm sure there are usually 15 to 20 traders but a lot of them are selling models..... Its not MITP or Stanford, just a nice little warm up for the year.
For those of you that have been before can u tell me how many traders go to brooklands???? Cuz we might go! Cheers!
We have not been for 2 years but there are not many traders. Wood and Picket go and do well because of that so don't expect a big show. But it's harmless and a bit to do for the kids and no worse a journey than us coming down for the day to Chapelton Barton. You could make a weekend of it. Chessington World theme park close by. Start saving.

Jo, There will be shiney bits, I'm sure. Probably a similar number of traders as there were at the rainy Bristol show where your exhaust was a bit of a pain.

Looks like I'm going to have to give Brooklands a miss again my Dad's been in hospital all week & so I've had no chance to get Henri ready. He's so dirty I could grow potatoes on his bonnet
Hope all who go have a great time & the weather is kind One year I'll get there!

Tell us about Brooklands then. Were any dogs sneaked in?
Brooklands was much the same as usual, our club stand was hidden away round the back so didn't see all the show but it was nice to get the Mini out again after the winter didn't see any dogs
We drove all the way down the M40, didnt see another mini until we got to Brooklands , saw Baz loading up someone car ( a purple coloured mini} with loads of bits should have come in a van , not a bad show, weather was good, at least the car ran okay, just done the 500 mile since engine rebuild, trying to find somewhere to go this bank holiday anything going on anywhere? oh and booked the Italian job ticket at the brewhouse in Taunton
You should of gone to Silly Minis loads of nice people (nutcases) going there. It is really a great event for the family.

I have left a note on the other thread but I should imagine they might be a bit busy this week.

That would of been me then!
Unloading LSMOC merchandice and loading Luna up with my Birthday/Christmas present....
It's booked in the garage to have it all done on Thursday/Friday along with her first rust hole being welded up and the steering gaiter replaced. I noticed both when I had the wheels of fiddling with the wiring... I also have some new door cards and bootliner to fit... and all this hopefully before Malvern at the weekend!
Thanks for that I thought that Malvern was last week, and I have been trying to get some ticket for the Silly mini do, so mightr just go to Malvern as its alot closer,

It was supposed to be last weekend but they moved it as it clashed with Brooklands. I might be taking both of mine
We had to get our other Mini insured, as we havent used it for several months, depends on what the quote is , its a lot quieter than mine, inside and outside
