Well after my little jaunt to see you all over the weekend and having my first CB experience in my 'borrowed' Mini, I'd like to get one for Luna (my plan is to come and spend some more time down south with you nutcases) But where do I start? What do I need? It was all well and good getting Kevin to turn on and tune in the one in Charlie, but I don't have a clue!
Yes they are good that's where I got mine - although Terry got our CB for Jock - as being lead car on LEJOG we need to be heard and also to hear the other cars (it does help )
Had a bad day today - so a bit of retail therapy means there's a nice shiny CB setup on it's way to me!

Congratulations on your retail therapy, just so you know, technically speaking once you have your new shiney cb radio installed and connected up one of the first things you should do is check the Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) of the aerial by using a SWR meter. These are not expense if you can't find anyone to borrow from and there are very clear instructions on how to SWR your cb radio on the internet. This will not only protect your cb radio but it will give you greater range.
