Hi
Then there's
My name is Bob McCreadie and I am Programme Director at Pirate FM.
On Friday April 30th we are hosting a Drive in Movie at The Royal Cornwall Showground. The film we are featuring is the original 1969 version of The Italian Job. We wondered if any of your fellow mini enthusiasts would like to bring some cars down on the night to show them off and and of course give your clubs some publicity. Obviously those people and their cars would get free admission to the movie!. I’m not sure how many we can accommodate at this stage, but just thought I would send out this e mail to see if any of you might be interested.
Kind Regards,
Bob
and here is another
Terry - to rasie money for CHSW and ELF we are:
- selling 200 squares at a £1 each for prize drawer
- offering MINI tlc for £5 for every MINO sold between 1 April and Sunday 18th April and giving this to charity
- running a design a roof decal for 12 year olds and under. We'll get the winner's one made up and put it on a car and then sell it to anyone who wants to buy it and make a donation as well
Hope that helps and that you are still up for doing a run.
There will be food, Nintendo Wii, Laser Clay Pigeion shooting, inflatable assault course etc on the Sunday and most of this here on Saturday too.
Thanks

Subject: Tews Lane Open Day - 5th June 2010
Olah, chap.
As mentioned this morning, Carol McCormack-Hole called me yesterday, to invite LBH to join in their annual Open Day at the Tews Lane site. Kathie Hales attends each year, according to Carol, but ‘in a low key way’, in her words….. as such, Carol wondered whether we might be interested in a rather larger fundraising splash. There will be lots of games and fun for children on the day, and I did think that Terry Baker might like to take his rat and mallet (and other mini fun and games0 along, to generate Grand Tour income as part of a pre-organised event?
Have a great weekend.

Then there's this
Dear Terry
Re: Westward Ho! Potwalloping Festival 29th - 31st May 2010
How are you? You may remember me from a few years back when my husband Kevin and I had previously been involved in the Potwalloping Festival. Well here we are again having said 'never again', back as part of the recently formed 2010 committee to ensure that, after a break last year, that the WHPF is back on. Altghough we will only have had 3 months to organise an event that's normally 9 months in the planning, we have a good team and things are going well.
What I am emailing to ask you Terry is that, as the North Devon Mini Register have always been an important part of the festival, we are hoping that you would like to join us again this year for what we are planning will be a more family-friendly events than ever before? Your first thought might be that you cannot because of the blue pergola area where you have previously had your static mini displlay is part of an ongoing building works project. Fortunately, we do have an alternative site for you should you be available to be with us and that is the triangle area on the promenade between the Carousel and Fairway Buoy and, if required, possibly a little way down the promenade. You will no doubt be familiar with this from your many years with your LGT and, as there is now a requirement for risk assessments and public liability insurance, I am hoping that these would already be in place from previous LGT's so that you wouldn't have too much to do should you consider our request to join us.
As always, we would be very happy to give you a mention in the programme, going to print at the end of this month, and on our new website at
http://www.potwalloping.co.uk as a small thank you for your participation and support.
Please let me know if, or when, you might be available to join us to ensure that we have time to put something in the programme. If you would like any additional information, or can suggest anyone else who might like to be part of the festival in any way, please give me a ring or email me as below. Alternatively, you would be most welcome to come and meet us at our Open Meeting on 15th March 2010, 7pm at the Village Inn, Westward Ho!
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes
Mrs Terry Thorpe
As you can see we get a little bit busy and what with trying to raise a little bit of money for the CHSW we just do not find he time to have monthly meetings. On the other hand we nearly always go for a drive once a month, ok once a year we drive from Lands End to John O'Groats. We really are a bunch of nutters you just have to do that thing at the end of August to find out just how bad we are.
