It was great to see NDMR flags flying in Ramsgate today, we saw Andrea and family and several SMOC's on the cliff-top today at Ramsgate. There were lots of classic cars not just minis (also several non classic cars- not quite sure how they were allowed on the run) but hey whatever
we like to fly the north devon flag whenever we can. , the bucket and spade run has changed in to wacky race'es, you pay your money, get a route map, sit in a field for about an hour, then its a bit of a bun fight, for the gate, (but being british, we were all very polite, no pushing and shoveing) and then start of on the route. 2 miles up the road, give up on route as no one else is doing it , and race to ramsgate. always some vintage car that left after us, parked up and picnic out by the time we get there. nothing like that thing at the end of augurst. was nice to see carol and michelle.
Have always meant to find out more about it and actually do it one year, but hey we barely remembered to walk along the cliff top and look. Where do you get the application forms from Andrea? perhaps we can do it next year If anyone is interested there are some pictures here http://thanetonline.blogspot.com/2010/06/pictures-of-historic-vehicle-bucket-and.html
