Getting a bit boring on here you would not think we have Dartington coming up in a couple of weeks and then there is that thing at the end of August. No one got anything to say or is every one fed up with every thing.

Following the graunchy grinding noises from the front wheel bearings on the way down from Inverness, and the black gritty sludge which came out of them when I inspected them at the van in Skegness, and the general difficulty in swapping wheel bearings when you're the one who has to act as vice *and* worker, I asked the Special Bank of Mrs Siddarz if I could splash out.

I have now fitted a pair of Mini Sport's alloy swivel hubs, with bearings ready fitted - not only did I just fit them straight on in place of the old ones, but also never again for me the delight of shimming up ball joints - I just unscrew the old one, screw in another, and go

I did of course have to wait for the courier to come back with longer track rod ends - although I've been running 1.5degree negative camber for quite some time now, I'd always got away with not needing them....

Now I just have to sort out the non-standard clip on the non-genuine CV boot which decided to foul the driver's side hub, slip off the boot, and allow grease to get all over the place. Then fit the new front cones and knuckle joints, get all the front suspension settings redone at AceSpeed, and we'll be ready for LGT. Woo!

It's not boring, how very dare you. Most of us are planning for Dartington in our own way and as for that thing at the end of August, the Exeter misfits have mostly been purchasing a bigger tent, camping kitchen and a proper cooker with grill (wooooooooooooo). Mumbo is down with Uncle Paul in Kingsteignton having some fettling (for you Siddarz) on his sump nut. We are all excited in our own way. So there !!!!
