Getting a bit boring on here you would not think we have Dartington coming up in a couple of weeks and then there is that thing at the end of August. No one got anything to say or is every one fed up with every thing.

Following the graunchy grinding noises from the front wheel bearings on the way down from Inverness, and the black gritty sludge which came out of them when I inspected them at the van in Skegness, and the general difficulty in swapping wheel bearings when you're the one who has to act as vice *and* worker, I asked the Special Bank of Mrs Siddarz if I could splash out.

I have now fitted a pair of Mini Sport's alloy swivel hubs, with bearings ready fitted - not only did I just fit them straight on in place of the old ones, but also never again for me the delight of shimming up ball joints - I just unscrew the old one, screw in another, and go

I did of course have to wait for the courier to come back with longer track rod ends - although I've been running 1.5degree negative camber for quite some time now, I'd always got away with not needing them....

Now I just have to sort out the non-standard clip on the non-genuine CV boot which decided to foul the driver's side hub, slip off the boot, and allow grease to get all over the place. Then fit the new front cones and knuckle joints, get all the front suspension settings redone at AceSpeed, and we'll be ready for LGT. Woo!

It's not boring, how very dare you. Most of us are planning for Dartington in our own way and as for that thing at the end of August, the Exeter misfits have mostly been purchasing a bigger tent, camping kitchen and a proper cooker with grill (wooooooooooooo). Mumbo is down with Uncle Paul in Kingsteignton having some fettling (for you Siddarz) on his sump nut. We are all excited in our own way. So there !!!!

What's boring? Just got back from 10 days in Majorca where I caught the flu. My lads were asked to water the plants whilst we were away and decided to use the tap inside my garage which I only use to wash the cars on the drive, not the outside tap in the garden. They left the tap on and closed the garage. The pressure partially blew the hose connection sending a fine spray into the garage for two days. This sprayed my manuals and hard back mini books, ruined a book case, which now contains over 200 soggy mini mags, several photos, posters and framed prints. Luckily I had put the roof up on the mini, but some still leaked in filling the pasenger footwell.
So i am not bored, between sneezing and coughing I have spent the last week drying magazines on the washing line, and stripped the car interior. Don't get bored get kids! When we do that thing at the end of August I have told them to let the plants die.

well me.... work hard, play hard and all that! I spend my days getting covered in glitter making and packing cards, the evenings galavanting around in or fixing the minis with Ryan and friends. I have just got back from picking Doris up, £950 later!
This weekend I'm off to the Help for Heros run through Wootton Bassett.
I will one day make it to SMD but this year I'll be supporting Ryan at the mens Autograss nationals in his class 4 mini!
