MITP

I think the first one was in 1997 too. They used to give shirts out to the organisers, and I've got 1997, 98 & 99.

We went to the 1st and almost all of the shows at Cornbury, went to Santa Pod last year and again today...have to agree its gone down hill but expect we'll do it all again next year  

Someone on another site who went to MITP today said:-

I went to the very first cornbury park and it was soooo hot! Went to the second one too, cant remember much about it, I was asleep for most of it having got up tooo early to go there. I camped on the third and it peeeeed down with rain, the campsite was dire, the facilities even worse. Stopped going to cornbury because they changed the lay out, the price got too high and the minis were pushed further down the field. Went to the first pod where everything was on the grass, well mud, thick mud. Been the last 2 years too which have been better for the positioning of the minis and stands as on the concrete. Really enjoyed the stunt shows but have to agree that there number of stands has gone down and watching the same minis hoooon up the strip does get tedious after a while. Shocked at how expensive it was   but they have got to pay all the safety guys. But if you book a club stand in advance the tickets are cheaper? No? We didnt get around to it this year so paid full whack.

I expect we will go again next year, simply because its close to home and because the shows will disappear if they arent supported.

We went to Cornbury several times but nowadays only go to Mini events at places beginning with the letter B.

So we only go to Brighton, Bristol, Beaulieu and Bideford. Plus a general car show at Bromley but that's normally the same weekend as Beaulieu.
