Hi, so who won the prizes then? Saw lots of great decorated cars and costumes, but it was definitely Shaun the sheep that got the most claps from the crowd in Westward Ho! Did they win something? Just wish we'd been taking part not just spectating. |

Where did the furthest travelled come from this year? I was probably busy getting a Hockings when Terry said it |

They were the "Up North Mini Club" from Northumberland.
I only remember because they were camping next to me, and had a ten hour journey down on Friday morning (leaving at 1am!). Goodness knows what time they got home, after leaving Ilfracombe at teatime on Bank Holiday Monday!!!

Fair play to them, that's some journey! |

And at least one of them was going to work on Tuesday! He did the event last year so at least knew what to expect. The furthest travelled bike was Neil from Ipswich who was staying at the campsite too. He did 318 miles each way. |

I did park up one in D which came from Aberdeen. We won furthest travelled last year as the Aberdeen chaps broke down not far from their start and ended up coming down in a rental car (i.e. not their own Mini), but if the UNMC were there last year as well... |

I must say a huge thank you (on behalf of the LSMOC Members) to Terry & his team for voting us the best dressed Club at the LGT 2010. We were all so truly shocked and amazed that we were chosen over some of the other Clubs that had amazing outfits!! Ralph Halls who we have dedicated the LGT this year to will be smiling down on all of us!
Regards,
Matt Thornton (LSMOC) |
