Got home yesterday in just under 5 hours after a truely brilliant weekend. Massive thanks to Terry, the Marshalls, the bikers for all the hard work & effort they put in, & to all the people who lined the route. Also, thanks to The Big Sheeo for opening Ewetopia on Sunday night, had a great time & the kids loved it too
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a
well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting, ' Holy s*!t... What a Ride!! ' '
Bonkers I always do what my rice crispies tell me.

I dunno, geography is not my good point !
Brilliant.............. Fantastic.................Awesome................... erm............ words fail me, (for once !) L.G.T. has always left me feeling completely gobsmacked.
I would like to add a bit about the campsite..... It was ideally placed, well set out, water, power, lights, showers were good, skip, rubbish bags ... I didn't see ANY empty cans bottles, or any rubbish anywhere.......... now that is a job well done. The kids that were there could go off in the 'dip' (sheep-dip ?) lol...... and PLAY properly, rolling downhill, KICK the balls as hard as they needed to... and shout and scream..... not bothering anybody. Triffic. The site manager was truly committed, as this is just the kind of report he himself personally was hoping for. A good job. He was out of his tent every 3 hours to keep the genny topped up with fuel...... as well as keeping showers running, paper supplied, bins emptied, and everywhere clean and presentable.
So looking forward to next year................
SILLY MINI W.END RAISES FUNDS FOR C.H.S.W. too. Similar to L.G.T. much smaller, just as much fun tho'. (jester) OR this one.... http://www.sillyminis.com (jester)

Well said Laney. Vince did a wonderful job - he said it was easier than looking after two women at home!!!
There were many people who helped make the campsite an excellent venue - not going to make a list, in case I forget someone!
This was my twelfth consecutive LGT, and definitely the best yet. When I was working, I used to say that it made the other 362 days of cr@p worthwhile!
Thanks to all concerned, organisers, helpers, attendees, well wishers - everyone concerned.
What a brilliant weekend, we all had such a blast and will definitely be taking part next year. Colin actually made it all the way around with nothing falling off!! and Simon really enjoyed the marshalling on his bike. Thank you too all that made us feel part of something very exciting. Well done to all the nutcases for their organising. Marilyn x

We both loved it too, it was my 5th or 6th lgt, and it was jenns first one ever. We're already talking about next years one and everything in between. Had a fantastic time, made some excellent friends we can't wait to see you all again.
The campsite is a vast improvement over braddicks, the showers and toilets are so much better and it's nice to have a decent sized and reasonably quiet place to stay . Big thanks to every one, we'll see you next year.
select concorde 2 brighton then like 'heartbreaker' thats your only task for the day....do that then do whatever you want, easy! http://toursupport.grahamcoxon.co.uk/
Well what more can I say . Being a first time marshal, it was an absolutely fantastic weekend. I eventually arrived home here at 5.45 pm on the tuesday night. I thought the campsite at the big sheep was superb
Well this was my first year doing LGT and I loved it, if i could I'd be back next year but I already have a wedding to go to so i'll just have to go in 2012.
The marshalls did a great job everywhere we went, well done to all of them for there hard work. Also big big thank you's to Terry & Linda for a brillant weekend for such a fantastic cause
My 2nd NDGT - and already looking forward to my 3rd next year (and maybe LEJOG the year after ). Much better camping than at Braddicks (note to self - pitch tent on flat bit not sloping bit).
What can I add our lot had a great time, big thanks to Terry and linda, all the bike marshals, all the other marshals and all behind the scenes for making LGT 2010 a fantastic event. We will be back next year. Roll on LGT 2011, can't wait
I think everything has been said fantastic weekend. Big huge thanks to baz for the loan of the mystery machine for monday thanks mate, Be back next year in my own mini!!!!
Just arrived home after a fantastic LGT (our 10th) thanks to all for making it one of the best we will definatly be back next year b and b already booked
Got home Wednesday at 18.10 as we didnt want to leave the site, another great grand tour and the camp was perfect. A BIG thank you to Terry and Linda, all the marshalls, the bikers and a special thanks to Vince who tired me out just watching him. My son's first tour in his mini and he's already planning next year (another one hooked). Nice to catch up with everyone from last year and all the new faces, such a friendly lot (even the Brighton lot ) roll on 2011

Not that you'd have any bias but yes, I think Vince should be this year's LGT Hero - as well as doing a grand job with the campsite, he successfully navigated me thru Exeter when we went to get my trailer
As for everything else, ditto what everyone else said...
we have arrived safely home today (sat) , stopped at wincanton for fuel, us and car, and was apporached by a man who said he was from coombe martin, and had waved us all by on monday. had a fantastic time and cant wait for next year, well done to everyone involed.exelent job.
Wonderful LGT this year - thanks to everyone involved. But can we get two things straight? It's MARSHAL, not marshall, and Minis, not minis.
Graham the Grammar Nerd!!!
Don't worry folks if your grammar is not up to scratch. The author admits he is a Grammar Nerd. And if you want to be one of Terry's posse and wear a marshals badge just ask him.
It's a good job we're better at planning than spelling so we can put on a good event. I've checked the spelling of posse and I'm just going to preview this before I send it for any grammatical mistakes.
