The clock seems to be flying round and before we know it the Bank Holiday will be here dragging along with it "that thing at the end of August" So here is a bit about what is happening on the Saturday.
SATURDAY 27th, The Adventure starts here. At 10-00am on the Saturday Morning we would like about 25/30 minis to leave the campsite and pick up a few siblings and Parents at Little Bridge house and take them to the BIG SHEEP in convoy of course. All the mini involved will be allowed to park in a field inside the Big Sheep and put on a display for the visitors. All those taking part in the display will have free entry into the Big Sheep.
The Big Sheep “MINI” fete. Inside the big sheep and under cover, we are going to put up a few games, the type we use at Dartington so that we can try to raise a few bob, I think even splat the rat may make an appearance if we can find the rats. We should be able to get these set up the night before or earlier that morning. Because it is under cover we can put up poster etc telling everyone what we have done over the past years. We will also be putting up some CHSW posters.
Westerly BMW will be sponsoring the event and making a donation to the CHSW. Their Minis will be parked inside the Big Sheep opposite the restaurant for the whole weekend. They will be organising a raffle to win a mini for a weekend with a free tank of petrol and I am sorry you cannot just take the petrol.
As we have already said anyone taking part in the LGT can buy a day ticket for £7.50 and use it all week. If you are not staying for a week but would still like to come into the Big Sheep for the Saturday day you will get 50% off.
SATURDAY CRUISE. Leave Northam Burrows at 6-30pm but please do not get there before 5-30 or they will charge you to get in. We expect about 130 minis and we will take a slow cruise around Westward Ho! Northam Appledore, Bideford and this year we will finish at the BIG SHEEP and not the Quay. This must be the countries only real Mini cruise. The big sheep will be opening it’s doors to Ewetopia for everyone taking part. A chance to enjoy the death slide and have some fun. There is also a café within Ewetopia that does very nice snacks and there is also a brewery which might be open.
I have put this up here because we need 25/30 cars to go to Little Bridge House and to help with the games etc. Anyone interested.
Check the front page for more info.

Just to let you know each of the children will be accompanied by a carer or there mun and dad. So only 1 person in the car as a driver the rest of the team will have to wait at the big sheep. Should not need all the cars but it should make the convoy look good and get the weekend of to a good start.

Just been thinking which is a very bad thing fore me to do at this time. If we can find 25/30 minis willing to take part in the convoy and the show at the Big Sheep. There is no reason why we can not take the normal passengers in the minis as long as they are willing to get in another mini for the trip back to the big sheep. There should be plenty of room.

Terry, just to warn you not many people visit the site, certainly not 25. The few that visit , only a few post and things like Birthdays are now a thing of the past. Perhaps it should be someone's job to daily identify birthdays and start a thread. I used to but as Siddarz said, some forums have had their time and only a handful, the regulars respond.. So Happy birthday Basher.

Hi Rita I know that we have lost a lot of interest on the site. and facebook seems to have taken over. That is why I have just printed off 300 latest news letters the same as the front page. I hope to get them posed on Tuesday, they will also be going to those people who have not booked in yet as a little reminder.

Hi Terry We would be pleased to help out with the convoy if you are short of volunteers. We do not normally arrive until 12:00 ish on Saturday, but we can leave earlier to get to you by 9:30 and drop our gear off at the B&B early if required. We dont use facebook so keep us up to date on this site.
I think most communication is through direct messages and following status updates etc (which is how we communicated our arrival home today 13 hours 43 minutes after leaving Foggie!)
I think there is an LGT page as well - can't find it at the mo - i need sleep....

Hi there,
I'm arriving on Friday. Happy to do whatever requested (as long as it's legal and not a physical impossibility!). If you want me to go to LBH, fine; if you want me to work on booking-in, fine too.
Marshals? Assuming we have our group of regulars, it will be hard to have a meeting if we're in two places and we have got to manage change this year.
Good thinking How about friday night for those marsals that are there, we have to sort out the parking at IIfracombe and Lee abbey and try to get it done better this year. One big change will be that on the sunday there will be no allocated parking places because we have lost another parking area, so it will be turn up and park up along the prom. The road will have to be reserved for our marshals. Those marsals last out will be at the back of the road the others at the front. As for the changes they will mainly effect the motor bikers and I have already spoken to Dave about that
On the saterday cruise we will not be going across haywoods roundabout in to bideford but back along Atlantic way and out of Westward ho! the same way that we would be doing it on the Sunday, I hope this will let people get to know the route.

On the front page it says about booking in. Do I need to book in (being a biker marshal)? If so two tents 2 people for 3 nights. As for biker marshal changes can anyone ask Dave to PM me? See you in 39 days

The bikes do not have to book in but it is nice to know that you are camping just to make sure we have the facilities to cope with all the campers. There are not many changes only the starts but they should make life a lot easier for everyone Dave does not have a computer (Lucky so and so) But plenty of time on Saturday when you arrive to talk about the changes. Look forward to seeing you again.

If anyone in Westward Ho! area sees Andrew or Louise can you tell them I'm trying to contact them. I've done a private message and e mailed Andrew but no joy. Don't tell them I want to give them money.
i expect andrew and lou have been busy with the papermache goodness knows what she will do this year my betting is on the three Billy Goats gruff and a bridge as heard in the Archers
sometimes my mind not only wanders it goes off on its own
There are now 25 places left for this years LGT and as it is about to happen at the end of next month and if you want to take part you had BETTER GET A MOVE ON.
I had better start working on it then.
