Me and t'other half are staying around Bideford for the rest of the week, what do you recommend to do? We'd like to go lundy maybe and there was some nice looking gardens on the tv a few months back that looked pretty......probably the ones mentioned in the other thread, cant remember now. Any suggestions for cheapish places to go things to do, see etc. Many thanks.

Nice pub at Instow for lunch.
We like the drive down to Bude. Quite scenic and a few good shops at Bude and eateries.
I'm sure those that live there will have ideas.

If you go back to Ilfracombe and continue round to the harbour kills half an hour and not Lynton but down the bottom Lynmouth is worth a visit for a couple of hours. Put the crabs back.....

Not that you're taking one but dogs are not allowed on the island.

Just like to add if you are still in North Devon for the rest of the week try taking a bus, it just every time I go out in the mini after the GT no one will let me out because they think there is 250 minis behind me, even the traffic lights seem to be against me.

If you have not been there try Bucks Mills it is a really nice place to visit and it is free. Mind you it is a bit of a walk from the car park to the shore. How about a drive across Exmoor via Porlock really nice drive as long as your Brake shoes stay attached to the metal. You might be better of booking in for next years Lejog.

I think that should be at Appledore for crabbing and fish and chips, you can get the ferry from Appledore across to Instow which is fun

There are plenty of walks or you can hire bikes and cycle on the Tarka Trail
