I know there will be a spare table at the campsite just for this.
We've all got some small Mini stuff we don't need, be it parts or models etc. as long as they fit in your Mini so you can get them down here with all your camping stuff...
I've got a Fujimi 1/24 scale unmade model still in it's box and a green glass Jack Knight paperweight to start with.
Anyone else prepared to put stuff up ?
There's also a rumour that a used set of 5 12x5 black and silver Revo's could make an appearance.
I have a few bits just have to try and find them. But an excellent idea, we might have a shop because we have lots of old grill plaques and window stickers etc we could try and sell.

Is the money raised planned for the Hospice or is it a bring and buy?
I think the idea is to raise money for the CHSW.

Not really but I suppose it will have to do, just because you are the campsite manager and can take down names.

Anything we can do to raise funds is important. This year our figures may be reduced. Only 3 cars did LEJOG, so that will be a dent. We have to hope the spectators are out in force, the bikers do a good job collecting their money.
I was up yesterday at 5-00am doing the new route for Dave and his bikers, just doing their posters now.

Hi, Is the stall on the campsite itself, or at the fete, for public too? Do the items have to be mini related?
My original post does say ' at the Campsite' It isn't possible to carry hopefully lots of items around during the weekend.
I'm perfectly happy for anything I bring that doesn't sell to be left in North Devon to sell on Ebay in due course with the proceeds going to CHSW, naturally.
Mini-fied stuff may be best but I'll let you make your own minds up.
Oh, btw, I've also got an autographed copy of The Paddy Hopkirk Story that I bought in the auction at SMS this year.It retailed at £18.99 and was signed by the man in Jan '06. Well worth the read !
Richard, your comment re people posting a list of items needed is a good one. Lets try it shall we ?
I've just unearthed both Austin and Morris Mini driver's handbooks circa 1964 in quite good condition plus a British Leyland Mini Clubman saloon/estate driver's handbook from 1969.
To save any confusion, they are genuine and the part numbers are...AKD3887C, AKD1174F and AKD7348. Also got a mint Mini Cooper S handbook for Mk 3. Part number AKD 7364 (2nd Edition) from 1971.
Lets not get silly here if you have got something special then let me put it on that e-bay thingy because we might get a bit more money for it. Morky will tell you it can work because I have already done it for him.

Will things on the stall be priced? Or do we have to barter
I've spoken to The Man Rita, we're going to go with a silent auction at the shop, sealed bids for the items although some will obviously have a reserve or might go to ebay. I gave Terry a 6 piece set of Walnut door furniture last year and it was snapped up on ebay. I've already had PM's for my Cooper S handbook too.
Paper and envelopes will be provided at the Campsite and the current thinking is we draw on the Sunday night as some folk will leave after Ilfracombe on Monday.
Please everyone, if you have anything you think could raise some extra, bring it along. Every penny raised goes to CHSW as always.
Feel free to post what you're bringing. Whatever you bring will be sold !
There will be a auction but it will not be a long one. We do have a few bits that we will auction at IIfracombe for a bit of fun and to past the time whist we work out the winner. The idea of a sealed bid is a good one and will give us a bit of fun on Sunday night, the item will not be new so we could not really use them at IIfracombe. I can dig up a few bits that we could sell over the weekend including a few uncollected tee shirts etc.

Another thought lets not bother telling anyone what we are going to bring, just bring it and surprize every one. We will make sure that everyone is made aware of the what is happening when they book in. As the items arrive we will put them out on show. Maybe one or two bits could be used for the Auction at IIfracombe.

Yes, lets go for this. It's all about fun for a good cause. Gets my vote
Here's another idea. How many of us have some Euro coins ? Banks won't change them for Joe Public but Charities can. Is this worth a CHSW bucket at the Campsite ?
Euros you have to go across the sea for those, never done that, well I did a few times but that was before we went decimal. If anyone can remember that.
I am trying to discuss! arrrrrr Jim lads, when I went to see the ships were made of wood and the men of steel.

How did you know that I cannot remember telling anyone about my murky past but I did love it 6 months around the Med & Six months around the Pacific. Swimming Pool attendant, Well I fell into it so many times after a few sips they decided to give me the Job of looking after it. What a night mare out in the Sun all day except when it snowed or we hit a storm, them I had to help behind the bars. It was a hard life.

We will be bringing Alex (the 2011 model) who travelled from Lands End to John O'Groats then Aberchirder and finally to Planet Thanet in Jock - hoping that he/she will raise loads of money
"he was unable to do LeJog this year after being brought to Devon by the students "
what did they do kidnap him
was there a ransom ?? it must have been the time i wasnt looking at the forum --sorry Rita you really are quite scary we are all worried about you waving your stick about hence us all being on here tonight !!!!!!!!!
sometimes my mind not only wanders it goes off on its own
Good to see the board how it used to be. It will be back to normal tomorrow. And I do have a stick. I use it to stop Domino sniffing and cocking his leg all the time.
sorry on re-reading that I can see why you're confused!! Barry was unwell and was unable to come, so the students brought Alex down is that clearer now?
