If Bertie's anything like Krakatoa there is still a third of a tank left when the gauge is on the red. It does make you nervous though when it gets that low.

We have been told though not to run it so low on Barney (our Clubman Estate) as apparently when they say empty they do mean empty.

Same with mine. Takes 20 litres to fill it full from the red line. It's supposed to be a 35 litre tank. Though when I had my mini van, that will only take 20 litres to fill up, and when it said empty on the gauge, it was a full tank! Bit confusing so I carried a big jerry can of petrol in the back just in case it ran out, which happened often.

select concorde 2 brighton then like 'heartbreaker' thats your only task for the day....do that then do whatever you want, easy!

Morky's the same as is Mumbo. We look to fill up at around 150 miles ish becuse you never know.  They used to call Ford fuel guages 'guestimators'

Still, we love the little foibles don't we ?   don't we ?....................

30 litre tank on Spi/Mpi due to the pump in the tank, so it's not quite as bad as it seems

Had a great day. Our first time at this show. Free to enter and well worth a look. About 1000 cars on display from Rolls to Minis. There were vintage cars through to modern classics and motorbikes. Cheap food too put on by the local scouts. You can park in the main car park, or display your car in the main area. There were about 30 minis on show including Penny's and the blue moke minus its dinosaur.
