Hi has anyone seen or orgamised some simple games to run at shows and fetes etc
we have a splat the rat ,
picking up some boats out of a paddling pool with magnets on stick and string we had a duck set but they started sinking !!
park the mini where small mini toys run down a gentle slope in through an opening in a wooden garage with the door opening just wider than the mini
we did have a model of a mini with holes cut into it in which buckets are put to throw balls into but now the paint is faded and is a bit big for small space
has anyone got any other simple idea,s thanks |

Berties balls and buckets could be made smaller or im happy to repaint it lucky dip is small and easy, just 2 large boxes (1 boys and 1 girls) filled with little treasures, small token gifts like small sweets, little toys (now the BEST are the wonderful treasures from christmas crackers) stuff the boxes with shreaded paper and dadaaa nice easy small games. Hoop throwing - i think this is done with bottles and they win the bottle of drink, or you have bottles with sand in with points on them, as a bit of competitive fun. You could have a leaders board! Name the teddy - always sure to win!! What about the hook the duck game? there are like card games where you have a pack of card all pinned to a board and people get a couple of goes to pick and card and if they get a picture card they win Guess how many sweets in a jar or coins in a pot and they win the pot Tombola - but you need donated bits for this but an easy fun stall I think im all out of ideas |

no we didnt use that i think it needs lots of people to place bets on football teams and where the wheel stops is the winner i was hoping for where the paying participant perhaps just a child does the activity ie wack the rat or controls the mini car make them win or loose does that make sense rather than betting on something they have no control of but i will ask if we could borrow it for the big sheep and as this is the only thread not to mention the MIL please dont suggest a ducking stool |

A smaller version is an egg crate (7x7 or suchlike) with each of the egg places filled with sand, and a bit of a drinking straw stuck in each one. Pull out the straw(s) with a colour on and win a prize. Minimal space required. |

i have googled fete games and come up with these ideas what do you think Fill a large tub with water and place coins on the bottom. Contestant drops coins into the water and if they completely cover a coin on the bottom they win a prize. This game is a lot more difficult than it looks.-- i like this one we could put a £2.00 coin in the bottom and ask people to drop 20ps in to lie ontop of the £2.00 and easy to do in perhaps a baby bath Three large boxes are set up with a person (child) in each box, on a signal each person at random picks a piece of fruit and holds it out of a hole in the front of the box. If all the pieces of fruit are the same the player wins a prize. This is a good event for children to help run and is not often seen at fetes so has a novelty value.--we could have two people there and ask the 3rd person to pay a 50p and if all thre lemons or apples are pulled out of the bag they could win a £1 Fill a tray with sand and place upturned eggshells in the sand. If the shell picked has a dot inside it the contestant wins a small prize. Numbered stakes are set into the ground and the contestant tries to throw rope rings around the stakes. Prizes are awarded based on the number of points scored.not sure about this one but could work Use a circular board divided into 8 colours with a spinning arrow. The contestant picks a colour and if the spinning arrow stops on the colour the contestant wins a prize. Alternatively place a prize on each of the colours and the contestant wins the prize pointed to by the arrow. now this is where we could use the wheely thing from work have the prizes on the coloured square or named football team and the person wins what ever is on the square where the wheel pointer ends there could be a £5.00 note in one square Bend stiff wire to produce a course for the contestant to move the hoop along. Wire a buzzer up to the wiggly wire course and the hoop so that if the hoop touches the wire a circuit is made and the buzzer sounds. this one is always fun has anyone got one or could make one |

This is a really simple fundraiser that is very easy to set up and run.
A number of pots are filled with sand.
In some a coin or small prize is placed in the bottom before the sand is added so that it is completely hidden.
People then choose a pot of sand which they pour through a garden riddle / sieve. If they are lucky the prize will be revealed.
If not " Oh well they can always buy another pot |
