I just have to say what a weekend, what an event and a very special thank you to all the marshals and helpers that made it happen. Make no mistake without your help it would not exist and those thanks also go to the motorbike riders who do such a fantastic job.

I can say from my own point of view this years LGT was the best one yet. It went so smooth and we arrived at most places on time, how magic is that. I know there are a few points that have to be sorted but then again, its the same every year. If the mini owners do not want to read the instructions inside the packet, so be it maybe a sign or 2 may help. I also have to say a special thank you to Camp Freddy and Professor Peach for the excellent way they managed the campsite and got it all up and running.

As much as we all had so much fun none of us at the campsite will forget the Monday and the tragic death of a female participant, it left us all shocked.

In the morning I spoke to a couple from the club and they told me that the husband had said that they had just spent a fantastic weekend together with a great bunch of mini owners and some very special friends.
I am sure I can say all our thoughts are with the family at this time.

I don't know who it was but I do feel that as they were with us at the end I think it would be good if the Register could send flowers for the funeral. If we do not have funds I will happily contribute. And I'm sure others will feel the same.

At Christmas the Hospice offers the opportunity to buy a memory star to hang on the tree there. Perhaps we could do that earlier. I think the lady would be comfortable with that as she was fundraising for the Hospice.

Think that'd be really nice, along with the additional ribbon

I've read the various comments and can only agree with the sentiments. How about asking Tyred and Exhausted for their opinion, I believe the lady's name was Jill (or Gill). A pm to minimum66 would seem to be appropriate here.

yes i feel i agree with this statement , but it may be a little too early for them to see past all that has happened yet maybe after the funeral when the dust settles may be better to approach them xx

Hi All
You're posts are all really lovely and as Sharon said, many thanks from us all. It means a lot.

We will speak to Rob (Gill's husband) as you say, once the dust has settled but am sure that you're gestures (ribbon, donation, etc) will be much appreciated. It's really very sweet of you all.

And in the words of Gill 'Keep Calm and Carry on'.

We'll be in touch and will see you all next year.
