Roast Turkey and stuffing Braised L:amb Shank Saute Supreme Chicken in a whiskey and Mustard Sauce Salmon Fillet in Dill and Orange Sauce Baked Aubergine with herb cous cous and sundried Tomatoes with parmesan cheese above served with seasonal veg and roast potatoes
Christmas Pudding Sherry Trifle Creme caramel
Coffee mints at £17.50
there is a menu wiith less choice at 12.50 and another one at 22.50 (but still only one Veg option)

I appreciate that there may be something on the 17.50 menu that may not be to everyones taste but to be honest im a bit reluctant to start discussing with them swapping over items from another menu as i can see me then having to keep lists of 25 differnt menus and all the conseqencies that will entail .They have already been good enough to keep the room prices as the same as last year
if its ok with everyone else ill put up the 22.50 one and then we can decide of we go with that one what does everyone think

Have booked our rooms, has been a few years since we last came to the christmas dinner. last one was at braddocks and we almost froze looking forward to this year.
thanks everyone for the prompt replies are you all ok with the middle price menu and some time before mid Nov can you decide what you would like off the menu so we can prebook the choices as this will help prompt delivery of the food

Just rung the hotel and booked mine and karls room! The man said he's put it in the file but could I also email saying same thing, I couldn't find a email address on their website but found a form that you could fill out on there so guess that will be ok. Sammy
That's normal. The hotel reminds me of fawlty towers for some reason, you'll enjoy it though.

Just to get my order in first, can I have Soup for starters (because they wont have mellon even if I asked nicly), Roast Turkey with Stuffing (again the request for pheasent fell on deaf ears last year) - and can I ask for 3 roast patatos this time, and a yorkshire pudding that you can see on the plate? And for desert I think we'll go with Christmas Pudding (not my favourate but it adds a certain lining to the stomach).
So to re-cap: Soup, Turkey, Pudding.
Do we have a say over seating arangements? Last year I got stuck with a right bunch on my table (all as drunk as lords - and some as ladies) The rif-raf you get at these do's!!
I'll have the garlic mushrooms, lamb shank and Xmas pudding.

many thanks -- the Hotel is fairly relaxed and are happy not to have a deposit so we pay on the day--- ill get a willing volunteer to collect the monies when you arrive on the night

As theres no duck (with a selection of sauces ) and as long as kirk the chef has not drunk all the sherry, we would like ; Andrea prawn cocktail, chicken in whiskey and mustard sauce, and sherry trifle. Just got home (finally). Definitely won't be able to make it so i have called the hotel and cancelled. Don't think he was too happy about it but then I'm not particularly happy with work making me finish late when they knew that I needed to finish by 1.

The last 5 of us that were up ended up leaving the bar and going to bed at 3! Had a great evening, are first NDMR Xmas meal and u all made us feel so welcome and part of the nut house

Just wanted to say we had a fantastic time. It was good to catch up with everyone agian and to put a faces to forum names who I hadn't meet before. It was slightly embassesing when my numbers kept being pulled out on ther raffle. Thanks to Penny and Ian for organising it
