this cold weather has killed my mini! it wont start on its own, without being bump or jump started. there is nowhere near enough power in the battery to start the car.

i started it today after being left for a week, by jump starting it. i know that bump starting the MPi minis should be avoided as it puts unburnt fuel through the catalytic convertor.

however after running it for 20 minutes, it had to be bump started (down Orchard Hill, as it cut out on Heywood Rd roundabout) and wouldnt restart when i got home/

How do i tell if the battery needs replacing or if the alternator isnt charging the battery????? i want to use the car, but not if it wont start
